Absolutely lovely
What a fabulous little cottage! Absolutely immaculate and with everything you could possibly need for your stay. It has a lovely 'feel' as soon as you walk in, and is extremely comfortable from the sofas to the bed. The position of the cottage is perfect with everything so close by.. shops, pubs, restaurants etc, yet tucked away slightly. It was so lovely to be able to see the sea from every window and to be so close to it. As mentioned in other reviews, the stairs are fairly steep but there are only 7 of them and another 2 at the bottom going into the kitchen are usual size. There is a small car park for around 20 cars out to the side of the cottage which we used as we were there for 3 days we paid the £8.70 for 24hrs and nipped out to renew it, but as per other reviews there is plenty of free parking around if you want. We were there at the end of September but I imagine during peak season it would be a lot busier. We were very sad to leave the cottage and have every intention of re-booking for more visits.

Relaxing & Close to Sea
The cottage was very quirky but cosy and comfortable. The accommodation was well equipped with a welcome bottle of wine , tea , coffee , milk and biscuits supplied. I thought this a lovely touch. Would highly recommend this place to stay. I will definitely be returning.

The cottage was perfect for the two of us. It was well equipped and furnished to a high standard. It was warm and welcoming and in an ideal location for all amenities. We enjoyed our stay and would go again and recommend it to others.

Tasteful and cosy
Wanted somewhere close to the sea and this cottage was about as near as you could wish for. Easy key pick up. Clean and comfortable. As with many cottages of this type, stairs were steep and windy, with a spacious bathroom upstairs next to the bedroom. A corner bath with shower attachment, but no shower cubicle. Huge bed with lots of storage and an additional TV. Overall impression was very good. Have already booked again for next year.

Scrimshaw Cottage
Good location, cottage ideal for 2 people and of a reasonable standard. Only issue is parking which can be a problem at busy times and you have to pay, it’s cheaper to buy a weekly pass. The Crown pub can get a bit rowdy as they have outdoor music twice a week but their are lots of choices of pubs and restaurants within walking distance.

Lovely seaside cottage
Very cute cottage ideally located next to the sea. Close to pubs. Kitchen well equipped. Bathroom has a bath but only a shower attachment but this didn’t spoil things. Not sure if the steepness of the stairs is emphasised in the description. It was fine for us but anyone who had slight mobility problems might struggle. They are v steep and would recommend a bannister that you can get your hand round. Thanks for a lovely stay

Wonderful relaxing stay
We arrived Friday afternoon to find the cottage very well appointed clean with lovely sea views. Local shopping was great with Sainsbury’s and local sea food on sale in shops. The town has a lovely seaside vibe with walking on the coast path or through Sheringham park with great sea views. The local pubs The Two Lifeboats and the Lobster are well worth a visit with a friendly welcome in both. We would thoroughly recommend this accommodation and town for a great stay
