Really fantastic light and well positioned small house on Beesten Common.
Just the right location for us, as we know the area very well, Sheringham is a lovely place and the property is ideally located near enough to the shops and other amenities and to enjoy the seafront quite nearby, within a 10 minute easy walk. Would definitely recommend.

Lovely New Years Eve Stay
Lovely cosy cottage. Perfect for our family. Location great. Dogs enjoyed it too. Has everything you need for a short stay. Master bedroom bed was a little too hard/too soft? Depending on which of us you ask!

Lovely
Everything about this trip was lovely, the cottage is perfect with plenty of room and it’s own parking. I’d never been to Sheringham, but I’ll be back as it’s that nice, although I would recommend perhaps not going off season as most of the local attractions do not open until April. Only two slight negatives, having to pick up and drop off the key at the agents isn’t the best option when there is a key safe next to the back door and it may be better to have a king size duvet on the the main bed, but as I say, these are not big issues. Overal 5 stars

After a very cold start the cottage warmed up and we had a lovely stay
Overall we had a great time at the cottage but first impressions were poor - in near sub zero temperatures the heating had not been put on, there was no wood for the stove and the freezer door was frozen open. A few essential items like kitchen roll were also missing or in very short supply. Got the heating on and by the next day the cottage was cozy and comfortable. It was clean, spacious and quite well set up for dining and cooking although on day 4 the microwave stopped working. Right by the common and an easy walk into town or up onto the coastal path and lots of places to walk/visit nearby. Keys Cottages were very responsive and offered discount on future stay because of our concerns.

end of season holiday
lovely cottage, great location with a common outside the door for dog walks and close to the beach and the town. the cottage was well furnished and comfortable but the bathroom was very disappointing as a lot of black mould present which had apparently been present for some time according to previous guest reviews and had not been removed plus I had to repair the shower which was just running down the wall and not going up into the shower head. Also, one person stayed in the twin bed room but only one bed had been made up and the other was unmade with tired looking pillows and duvet piled up on it; I have never experienced this before and combined with the black mould made us feel that they couldnt really be bothered to make us welcome.

Cosy, spacious cottage in great location
This was our second visit to poppy cottage. It's a great location if you have kids or dogs as it's straight out onto the common and you can follow the stream down to the town, about 10 min walk to the town centre. Good size kitchen diner, well equipped but do wish someone would fix all the draws before they fall to bits completely! Not sure if the dishwasher is working properly? Also the TV remote a bit dodgy (tried new batteries). Great to have the humax box though for catch up and recording. Comfortable sofas and beds... I think in this day and age it would be standard to have pillow protectors though. Plenty of parking out front and it's easy to drive out along the coast road to all the other villages or inland to Fellbrig, Blickling etc... Lots to see and do in the area. We went to see the seals at Horsey, great to see all the pups hauled up on the beach.

Ideal location
This was a last minute change of accommodation, which actually proved beneficial as the property is within 7 minutes walk of the town, station, seafront, buses, shops etc. Parking was excellent, parked up and left the car using local transport. The cottage is excellent, everything you need, the kitchen was well equipped. The outlook and location was charming facing Beeston Common and Beeston Hill.

Poppy Cottage is just a stones throw from Sheringham town centre, just a 5 minute walk. Situated in a quiet location with views of Beeston Common and the Beeston Bump. Well equipped and cosy cottage, enclosed rear garden. Dog friendly! Would definitely recommend.

Poppy cott
Poppy cott is a cozy, lovely little cottage and a sweet outlook at the back of the property, over looking pretty allotments. We have stayed ther 3 times now , it holds a special place in our hearts, we just love it and the location, so close to the beach and shops. Lovely view out the front window of the bump. We will be booking again for next year.

Lovely relaxing holiday
We have stayed in this cottage several times. It is on Beeston Common and you can see the Bump from the windows. It's lovely and quiet but within easy reach of the shops. Lovely and clean and spacious. It has a small courtyard at the rear with table and chairs and use of bbq.

Comfy quiet cottage
Comfortable cottage in good location. Very quiet. Problem with dishwasher. Basic kitchen utensils - knives were blunt. Stairs were very steep for people with mobility issues.

Great Location
Poppy Cott is a delightful little cottage in a great location. Very easy parking right outside and a great place to walk from, either over the common, onto The Bump and beyond or down into the town and beach. The cottage is in good condition and has very comfy furniture and beds.

Beautiful cottage in gorgeous surroundings
Beautiful end of terrace cottage with a bijoux courtyard garden at the back with patio furniture and room for the dogs to Sun puddle looking out at the allotments. The house has an amazing kitchendiner all fully equipped with dishwasher and washing machine. Beautiful real fire place in the dining room . Very comfy sitting room with gorgeous sofas and a log burner. Then out to the stairs that are very narrow and steep, which were a bit of a challenge to walk up due to having mobility issues. Amazing double bedroom facing the Beeston Bump. I mean who wouldn't want to wake up and see that gorgeous scenery?! Bathroom has a huge shower, but the whole room could do with a freshen up. All in all a lovely cottage set on common land so ample dog walking straight from the door.

Very enjoyable stay.
Poppy Cottage was larger than impression given in photos. It was in an ideal location for both human and canine guests, re. walking on common/Beeston Bump, and access quickly to town. Knowing the area well; Sheringham is an ideal base from which to to explore the North Norfolk Coast, and inland towns/villages. There are some superb eateries of all types within easy reach. I would recommend No. 10, Sheringham/The Two Lifeboats, Sheringham/The Starfish, Sheringham, and Wells Crab House Seafood Restaurant, Wells-next-the-Sea. The accommodation was comfortable and warm. A couple of small queries, were dealt with very quickly by Louise at Keys.

Some improvements needed
This cottage is nicely situated overloooking common land at the front and only 10 minutes walk to the town centre or the beach. There are allotment gardens at the back - nice to look out over but not attached to the cottage. Ths was our second summer holiday visit. First time weather was great, this time cold and windy. But the cottage was comfortable and cosy (heating worked well and there is a wood stove we did not use) and there is lots to do in the region so a good holiday. However, the cottage has some drawbacks. However our score on condition is 3, cleanliness 4 because there is some damp (downstairs cupboards, upstairs bathroom), and the kitchen is in need of improvements eg worn wood counter, ktichen sink tap flexes, drainer doesn't drain very well, dshwasher not completely effecive. DIning area and bathroom lighting dim. Bathroom sink drain not easy to clean, WC not flushing 100%, extractor fan not venitnig effectively (so mould forming on tiles). So our feeling was it is time for the owners to look to look around and upgrade the facilities. This has, for example, has been done outside with new paving and outdoor furntiture since a previous visit. So hopefully the indoor work will happen soon. The service form Keys was very good (missing plates replaced, and a clean migweight quilt provide witin 24 hours of requesting).
