AWFUL PROPERTY MANAGEMENT. STAY ELSEWHERE.
I would not recommend staying at this property. If we’d known in advance, we would have booked elsewhere. Despite securing this property months ahead, we arrived to find someone else already staying there, a situation entirely unknown to both the host and property management company, who claimed they didn’t even know their property was listed on Vrbo. We waited outside in the cold for three hours while the cleaner rushed to prepare the space. When we expressed how unsettling and unsafe this experience was, the host and management company were indifferent, offering only a ten percent refund, which didn’t even cover the cost of our lost night. The lack of empathy and accountability was striking, and their response left us feeling unsupported. To make matters worse, Vrbo offered no help during the process in securing a refund, and left it entirely up to us to communicate with the property manager, despite the fact that the purpose of utilizing the Vrbo platform is for it to act as an intermediary between host and guest. While the home itself was adequate, the clear miscommunication, disorganization, and poor management left us wary. I’d advise future guests to book elsewhere, as this could easily happen again.

Nice accommodations. Chairs for the dining room table would be a nice touch. Directions to the house said the driveway is on the right side of the house but it is on the left side.

Clean and comfortable
Facilities were very clean. Extremely comfortable beds and pillows. Plenty of games, cards, and the bumper pool table was a bonus. Would definitely recommend to anyone.

Great Place Convenient to local attractions
Immaculate and very charming, the town is rustic, not many places to eat. The apartment was exactly what we wanted as a stopover, we went to Luray Caverns and did a nice hike and drive in Shenandoah, on our way to Smoky mountains,

Quaint little town feel. Apartment was clean & fairly spacious! Beds were comfy. The kids loved all the board games, poker & bumper pool table. We really enjoyed our stay!

Stuff happens - Good Host
The place was lovely and just what we wanted and in a convenient spot. Unfortunately when we arrived the cleaning service had started cleaning but had obviously been called away urgently. The host was kind and considerate once contacted. Gave a full refund immediately. Would definitely stay here in the future and appreciate the host’s graciousness.

Upon entering the property it was a mess there were clothes folded up on the counter and the beds were disheveled like someone just climbed out of them. There was trash everywhere and hair supplies all over the bathroom counters. I contacted the owner to advise and she stated that no one should be there. I sent her pictures as evidence and advised that I would not be comfortable staying there. At that point she became unresponsive. I contacted Vrbo who also tried to contact her and the agent advised that owner disconnected the call and works not respond . I had to drive two hours back to Richmond And get a hotel. I do not recommend booking here. Not only due to the mess but due to the blatant disrespect once the owner was notified

Beautiful place for two couples on vacation
More than enough room for four people. It was clean with very comfortable beds, a TV with all streaming services (you have to log in to your own accounts), a big fridge with a full kitchen, a huge sit-down area with stools in the kitchen, and a poker/card game table. The listing on Vrbo should list all of these details but doesn't. I emailed the host to ask a question if there were pots and pans (there are), but the host never responded. Thank God my question wasn't that important. Also, in the instructions to check in, there was no mention of needing to drive up the driveway and that the listing was in the back. When we pulled up, the place was completely dark with no outside lights on. We thought it was the front part, but it was the back. It's important that people checking in know exactly where to go and that there is some light.
