I would not recommend staying at this property. If we’d known in advance, we would have booked elsewhere. Despite securing this property months ahead, we arrived to find someone else already staying there, a situation entirely unknown to both the host and property management company, who claimed they didn’t even know their property was listed on Vrbo. We waited outside in the cold for three hours while the cleaner rushed to prepare the space.
When we expressed how unsettling and unsafe this experience was, the host and management company were indifferent, offering only a ten percent refund, which didn’t even cover the cost of our lost night. The lack of empathy and accountability was striking, and their response left us feeling unsupported. To make matters worse, Vrbo offered no help during the process in securing a refund, and left it entirely up to us to communicate with the property manager, despite the fact that the purpose of utilizing the Vrbo platform is for it to act as an intermediary between host and guest. While the home itself was adequate, the clear miscommunication, disorganization, and poor management left us wary. I’d advise future guests to book elsewhere, as this could easily happen again.
