"Our accommodation at Waves at Surfside was beautiful! The room view was perfect & the staff were very accommodating and friendly. We had a great time there with Breakas within close distance for food and cocktails on the beach front. We loved the private pool, the villa was very clean upon arrival & had anything we may have needed. I’d absolutely recommend the stay to others! "

"This home away from home is a lovely place to relax & gaze out at the sea view. The 3 bedrooms (each with a sea view) are in separate attached buildings so not suitable if you all want to sleep in the same house. The (6km from turnoff) road out to the property is gravel and very bumpy so best to hire a 4 wheel drive vehicle to get you in and out. Bring all your food with you for your stay. "Amazing place to stay, fires on the beach just steps from the beach house or boathouse. I took lots of mosquito spray, but was not needed. Linen towels etc everything was supplied, we just took our food and drink. The only thing missing was a tin opener so we bought one and donated it to the house. Had a few issues with the power going off but understand that is being addressed. It did not spoil our holiday and we would stay again. "Check if elevator is working if you can’t walk approximately 2 levels down stairs to the pool and restaurant before you go. Elevator was not working since earthquake in mid December and can be riatrictive to the elderly or disabled. "

"Lovely location on the lagoon and the walkways are a Garden of Eden. Rooms are huge with good air con, fan and kitchen facilities. Youtube movies available on large screens in each room and the staff couldnt be more helpful. Breakfast is good, but theres no other meal options unless you walk to another nearby lagoon resort. "

"Great short stroll to pool, beach, not overlooked by others. Staff amazing!!!! Chef cooked our caught fish and was the best fish ever ate. Staff very helpful. Few issues with external tour operators and miss communication from reception staff. Not telling us tour was cancelled until we were waiting for pickup yet they admitted to receiving call 2hrs earlier. But all ok.... happens like that . "

"Beautiful and idyllic beachfront location. Staff were very friendly and helpful, food was high quality. Rooms are basic but more than adequate but it gets extremely hot and there is no AC in the room, only a ceiling fan. Wifi is only available in public areas. Overall a fantastic experience "

"The resort is absolutely beautiful with stunning water views on the bay, beautifully maintained tropical gardens, and cute tropical "fare" bungalows. You have the choice of swimming in the pristine sea or in the lovely swimming pool. The staff is so dedicated to helping you have the best stay and the manager is very helpful. We'll come back. "
