Beautiful cabin
This is a beautiful cabin well maintained and clean. We enjoyed our stay. We did have a little trouble with the tv, but I think that might be because we aren’t used to streaming tv.

Perfect little cabin in the mountains!
We loved our stay at the Hatcher house. We stayed for about a week over Christmas and the cabin was great. The property is lovely and we got a lot of snow so we were able to go sledding off the side of the house and build a snowman with the kids, which they loved. The neighbors were very friendly and the neighborhood was quiet and well maintained. The house itself was great. Some things to consider: The internet was very slow so if that is important to you, this might not be the place. The pillows weren’t the greatest, so bring your own pillow if you’re picky Firewood for the fireplace is not provided so bring your own when heading up the mountain Overall we loved the place and would definitely stay there again! It was clean, well maintained, and had everything we needed.

Simple and Sweet
This is a cute and sweet cabin! The property is well taken care of and matched the listing! We loved the cute neighborhood the house was in! The house itself felt very clean, lots of space to hang out and relax together, and we loved that there was cell service! There were a few things that were a little bit of a miss for us. We wished there were blankets in the living room or extra in the bedrooms to use. It was a bit cold, especially in the morning, and having a blanket to cuddle up with would have been nice. The TV in the living room is way to small for the space, we struggled to watch it. The kitchen is pretty well supplied, but we wished there were dish towels instead of just cheap paper towels. One of the biggest issues we had was with the water. There is a sign on the fridge saying that there had been high levels of asbestos in the water (nothing that was dangerous). When we used the water in the kitchen it came out very cloudy looking which is fine for cooking, but not so much for drinking. I am sure the water was fine to use (at least I hope it was because we did!), but I wish there was more information about the water and a note that you might want to bring your own bottles or jugs for drinking. There are not any stores that are super close by which made getting water a bit of an inconvenience. This last part could be a good or bad thing depending on your personality. There are a LOT of notes around this house! Everywhere you look is another note about something or another, which is fine, but between those and all of the locked cabinets and things you cannot use or touch, it was a bit much. Overall, we really enjoyed the space and it was perfect for the relaxing birthday weekend with friends!

There were some things broken at the house that I took pics of when I got there.
Great location but there have no lights on the streets in the neighborhood. I wanted to go on a walk but decided not to due to the poor lighting. The size of the home was prefect for our group. We had a great time.

Beautiful Home! Perfect location!
It was our first time to Shaver Lake and we had an awesome experience. The property is perfect! It has so much room for the price and the outdoor space was phenomenal. We cannot wait to go back. Just a heads up, although the kitchen was stocked with most of the necessities they were missing cooking oils and paper towels but that was really the only issue we had the entire week! We cannot wait to go back.

Nice house. Crazy owners.
Bottom line, its a nice house. The downside for us was the ridiculous amount of instructions from the owner. Everywhere you look, little notes telling you what to do or don’t do. Serious OCD. We get it. Treat the home with respect. Also, half of the rooms were locked and not for renters use. For every one kitchen cabinet that we could use (with specific instructions of course) there were two cabinets that were locked. Locked garage-no renter use. We felt like unwanted guests. Kind of detracted from the stay.

Great house for families
We stayed here for 5 nights and this house was perfect for our needs. We have a new walker and a toddler and most of the house was worry-free (thick carpet, rounded edges on furniture, fabric couch protectors). Our 45" baby gate fit perfectly at the bottom of the stairs. Just a note for new walkers - the hearth does have sharp edges of rock, which was a bit of a danger zone. Also, for toddlers who like to explore - it seems that there's no way to lock the front door from the inside to prevent toddler escape, and the door opens very easily. The house was very clean, and the large main living area was a perfect place to relax, for the kids to play, and to cook and eat. A few qualms (though I still give it 5 stars). The hot water ran out quickly (didn't even fill a tub), and the water pressure was non-existent if two people were trying to shower at the same time. I was also a bit disappointed by the lack of cooking basics like olive oil, sugar, and spices. While not a necessity, it's nice when renting a home if some of these basics are stocked so you don't need to bring/buy them. There was salt and pepper and a spice rack, but many of the jars were empty. Also, the sliding door in the hall bath seemed to be off its slide or broken, and the sliding door to the outside deck needed oil. We cleaned and oiled the slides which improved it somewhat. There were also no extra linens supplied, so there was an extra pillow in the cabinet of the master, which I wanted to use, but no pillowcase available to put on it. The temperature was pretty mild while we were there so we didn't try to adjust the HVAC. It did get a little stuffy upstairs on the hotter day. Re: the TV - in the description it said there was cable, though that is no longer the case. We called Vacasa to see if we were doing something wrong and they said that the local cable has been out all winter and the homeowners cancelled the subscription. We happened to have a laptop and there was an HDMI cable, so we were able to log into our Sling account to watch the NBA Finals and the Women's World Cup. I would recommend bringing a fire stick or laptop plus HDMI cable if you know you want to watch something. About the location - it is amazing. We are pretty familiar with the area and were able to easily access all our favorite spots. And, just up the block from the house is the entrance to a great network of trails, including an awesome swing hanging from a tree. We hope to return soon!

Nice property and neighborhood, limited room access
This property is clearly used and loved by the couple who own it. There are lots of little hand written notes explaining things etc. There are nice touches like artwork and a small library to read from. It was very clean. The neighborhood is nice and was very peaceful. This cabin is towards the back end on a cul-de-sac so there was zero traffic. Water pressure was absolutely terrible, this is probably a widespread problem in the whole community. I can't even fathom how long it would take to fill the jetted tubs and forget showering in both bathrooms at the same time. BBQ didn't have any kind of tools so make sure to bring your own brush/spatula for that. Kitchen was pretty well stocked up though with most common items. My biggest concern is that the listing states that this is a 3000 sq. ft cabin. While this may be true in the MLS listing for this property there is absolutely no way that you have even close to 3000 sq ft. to actually spend time in. There are several rooms and closets locked from renters. Between the great room and the three bedrooms I would imagine closer to 1800 sq. ft is available to the renters. I understand that people want to protect their stuff and keep personal items hidden away but come on, don't mis-represent the available space to the renters in your listing. A large part of my decision to stay there was thinking WOW! 3000 sq feet to spread out and enjoy! I will likely choose a different property for next year's trip.

Ok
Yes we had a great time and our stay was super easy great location. Didn’t appreciate finding out I paid two booking fees when renting this house through your site. One for you and another for vacasa. Won’t make that mistake again. The house hadn’t been dusted in awhile spider webs everywhere. And there was a whole in the wall upon arrival that we reported first thing. This house was beautiful with great potentional. But when you pay for a cleaning fee you expect it to be clean too.
