"This place is amazing!! The house had everything we needed and more. We really enjoyed our stay and also be able to host some of our family in the area was precious. My daughters rented equipment for the babies which worked out well. The house is very spacious and 5 adults and 3 children fit nicely. Very highly recommend. The pier was fun to hang out on but due to weather we were to enjoy the lake as much. Easy to find, and owners were very responsive. "

Happened to meet owner when were checking in. He was great. Couldn't have been more accomodating. Great great place for a few nights or longer. Wush we were here longer. "

"This was just what we were looking for. The house was roomy, open and charming. It was also relaxing to sit on the back deck surrounded by trees and listening to the calming sound of the brook. It felt like you out in the countryside yet the cute village of Sandy Hook along with Newtown restaurants and shopping were less than 10 minutes away."

"We stayed at this property weekend of Nov 23rd, 2024. The house is super nice. Very clean. Other than food, the home is stocked with everything you need in the kitchen, bathrooms and bedrooms. Plenty of restaurants, groceries and other shopping nearby. We had an 8 month old and did not feel uncomfortable at all. Would rent again and would recommend this property to anyone. "

"The neighborhood was clean, upscale, and beautifully kept. It came with Candlewood Beach access. The second story suite was gorgeous, clean, and well apportioned. The bed was comfortable. The whole house was well maintained and a wonderful,"homey" feel to it. The Hostess was friendly, cheerful, and very accommodating. The house is on the hillside leading to Lake Candlewood. As can be imagined, the views from the windows were outstanding."
