Property Description: Woodland Retreat sits on a large, private lot that it shares with a small 1 bedroom cabin. The property is surrounded by trees and is just a short drive from town. Because the Woodland Retreat borders state land, it feels as though you are the edge of the wilderness, yet it is a very modern and well-appointed home. Fully remodeled with guests in mind, the house is thoughtfully decorated and equipped. After a long day of play in the Seward area, the Retreat offers a comfortable place to relax. Games, books, WiFi and TV with roku box are available for when it’s time to wind down or rest after a busy day. A spacious deck lies off the back of the house, providing a great spot for barbecues and relaxation during the long Alaskan summer evenings.

UPDATE: We have had the pleasure of sharing Woodland Retreat with guests from around the world since December, 2019. This year we decided to expand our offerings by adding a small cabin to the property. We are very excited about this recent endeavor and will be working feverishly throughout the winter/spring of 2023-24 to complete our project. We have updated our septic system in order to meet the increased needs of the property, which means we will also be reseeding our backyard and bringing in a new and improved fire ring. While the cabin work will be done by spring, the yard work cannot take place until May or June (depending on the when the snow melts), so the back yard will be in the early stages of growth during the summer of 2024. We hope you understand and are still pleased with your stay.

NOTE: The cabin and Woodland Retreat do not share parking or outdoor areas with each other and guests should have little to no interaction with unless they wish.
