Permanent Vacation is a beautiful all-wood interior cabin situated just a quick 8-mile drive from the Island in Pigeon Forge. This home is perfect for honeymoons, anniversaries, and small family vacations.
The main floor has an electric fireplace, a pull-out sofa, and a half bath.

On the second level, the spacious master suite is complete with soaring cathedral ceilings, a full bath, a king-size bed, and a daybed for kids that need to be nearby.

The outdoor space is very serene and peaceful, the perfect place to kick back on our gliding rockers or relax in the covered hot tub

Exactly What We Had in Mind for a Quick Family Getaway
We wanted to stay somewhere that was tucked away from some of the Spring Break craziness but still allowed us to visit some of the top sights with our 3-year-old. This cabin was absolutely perfect! As a mom of two little ones who never slows down, I was very happy we could still enjoy the hot tub even in the rain because it was covered. I wish we could have stayed longer and maybe we will make that happen sooner rather than later! Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Beautiful cabin.
We loved our stay there. It was very peaceful and quiet. The only thing that was a shock was how steep the driveway is. My car made it up there fine but boy I didn’t expect it 😂. We will definitely be renting through these owners again. They also have other cabins available. The owners respond really quick with any issue you have. Definitely recommend Over The Mountain Cabins and we will be staying with them again on our trip next year.

Away From Home
The property was wonderful inside was very clean and well equipped with what ever you need in the Kitchen. Half bath downstairs was great to have. Furniture was up to date and clean. The only problem I have was turning my 8 sitter SUV in the driveway. Coming from Florida it was a little scarry and my husband had to direct me. Close enough from town to enjoy as far as Gatlinburg. Plenty of restaurants to choose from and grocery store near by. The cabin has a jacuzzi outside with lights for the night time.

Celebrated husbands 60th and our 40th Wedding Anniversary. Peaceful stay. Chipmunks. Squirrels. Raccoons. No bears but maybe next time. Hot tub was amazing after a long day walking.

Our stay was everything we needed. Quiet and out of the way, but still close to the National Park and both cities. The driveway is steep but definitely manageable with a good vehicle. Would love to stay again!
