Great Property & Location
We have stayed two years in a row. It's a very nice house and is close to the National Park. You can easily get in and out of the Park without traffic. Highly recommended.

Granddaughter Trip
This is my second stay at Great Escape and won’t be my last. The location is perfect and the cabin is clean and well laid out. Roomy, comfortable living room, there’s even a lift chair provided for someone with issues getting up and down. The bonus this time was the beautiful snow fall. The rental agents are so helpful and accommodating.

awesome stay we had a visitor the first morning. while we were sitting on the back porch. the cabin was awesome everything went well. only thing made us nervous was the steep hill up to the cabin. we will probably choose something lower down the mountain when we visit again.

But the hill up to the cabin was a little nerve wreaking so would probably choose a cabin lower down the hill.

Great stay!
The area of the home is nice. Not much traffic and pretty mountain views. The furnishings are a bit dated, but that did not bother us. You won’t find a cabin easier to offload and reload. Having 2 bathrooms is great! And thanks for being dog friendly. Sophie, our British Cream golden, loved hanging out on the porch. We will be back.

September 2022 Stay
Our family has been staying with cove mountain for 33 years with no complaints, however this cabin smelled horrible from pet odor, the refrigerator was so loud we didn't sleep for 4 nights, in defense of the cove mountain staff they did send someone out quickly however they said it was worn out and time to go. The road to the cabin is steep and the gravel driveway has holes so deep your car will bottom out. In short this was true let down. I feel we should get a partial refund.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Had a great time! We did GSMNP, Anskeesta, Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge, Cherokee NC, Roaring Fork MotorTrail and sampled lots of good food. We try to come as often as possible. We have never stayed in Great Escape before and it was great! The location was beautiful and quiet. We have nothing negative to say about the care and upkeep of the cabin at all and we plan to stay here on future visits. The only negative we could find was the mattresses. They were very springy so we did not sleep as well as we would have liked. Overall, Great Escape was wonderful compared to other cabins we have stayed in (from other rental companies). It is nice staying far removed from the bustle of the tourist areas, yet close enough to get to the park via the back entrance!

Loved my Vacation

I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The cabin needs some up dates but was nice. The only problem was the had rolling power outages and we had no heat or any way to cook and the road to the cabin is very very steep and when it snows there is no way to leave. We couldn't even check out on time due to ice they don't salt the road to the cabin. Maybe they should consider putting a gas range and gas heaters so you can stay warm. This would be a nice place to stay for summer and fall but not during the winter. If you do stay during winter make sure you have a way to start a fire. The wood they give you was damp and we had to go get logs to help start a fire. If you don't bring a way to start a fire you won't be able to. This cabin was nice except for those issues. They do not put up a tree for Christmas either they did put a 3 foot one on a table but don't think it was even that big. That was disappointing.

Overall it was just fine, but not worth the price we paid. We did not notify property manager as our intent was not to stay in the home for the entire trips duration, but just have a home to relax in at the end of the day. The location is great and halfway between the Smokey national park and pigeon forge. However the home itself was not very clean. There were droppings in the laundry room, stink bugs inside the home and the worst was the wet dog smell throughout the house. The carpets were damp when we arrived, so my assumption is the cleaners tried to wet vac the home to try and help with the smell. On the bright side, there were bears that came right up to the front door. though they ones

House was Perfect!!!!
We enjoyed our trip so much! We will be back. It was 2 couples that came 55-63 in age. The house was roomy, comfortable, clean! The bears came to visit (mom and 5 babies!) a hot tub would have been nice…. But we managed without it! A couple of little things need seen to the coffee maker leaks. You only end up with a half a pot and it takes forever

Close to GSMNP
The roads were a bit narrow, and the furnishings a bit dated. But the wildlife was amazing! We saw a yearling bear and a momma bear with 5 cubs through the back windows! The home was clean overall, just a few small items that needed updating. New toilet seats, as the ones that were there had areas worn through the paint on the seats. The location was close to everything and we had a great time whi.e we were there.

This was a really nice place to stay. The road getting up there was a little scary. It was much easier coming down. It was well worth it. My daughter loved the jacuzzi tub. Also was a little pricey but not terrible.
