The Space:
This condo, tastefully decorated in a bright, tropical style comes fully equipped for a worry free vacation experience. The kitchen has granite countertops and stainless steel appliances, and comes with all you need to prepare your morning coffee, delicious meals and refreshing evening cocktails, and even better can be enjoyed seated outdoors in the private screened-in balcony overlooking the pool and beach. The primary bedroom has a queen size bed and ensuite full bathroom. The second bedroom has two twin beds and connects to the main full bathroom. Both rooms have their own televisions, however there is also one tv in the living room with cable channels and streaming features. There is a sofa bed available for additional sleeping arrangements. There is central air conditioning, and ceiling fans to help keep you cool throughout your stay, and a small washer and dryer if needed.
Guest Access:
Discovery Point Club has many fantastic amenities for guests to enjoy. There is a large, beach front salt-water swimming pool with sea views, surrounded by a generous pool deck and a heated whirlpool spa tub. Beach towels are provided and beach chairs, umbrellas, and palapas are numerous on around the pool and on Discovery Point Club's expansive area of beach. Enjoy snorkeling the natural reefs just off the beach, and swimming from the shore. SCUBA divers will appreciate the convenience of our location (close to both West Bay Boat Dock and Yacht Club), as well as having a dedicated gear rinsing area complete with drying racks located next to the management office building. There is a BBQ area for guest use, as well as two tennis courts and a basketball net. Tennis rackets and basketballs can be checked out from the onsite management office.
The Neighborhood:
Grand Cayman, known as the culinary capital of the Caribbean, has so many restaurants and flavors that will excite the 'foodie' in you. DPC is located on a quieter part of Seven Mile Beach, not high traffic or touristy, but still plenty to do. There are restaurants within 15 minute walking distance, like Bayside near the Fosters Grocery Store, or CoccoLobo at the Kimpton hotel. A bit further into West Bay, you will find Cracked Conch and Macabuca, where you can snorkel and shore dive from their deck. There is also horseback riding and kite surfing adventures, and the Turtle Center nearby. On Seven Mile Beach there are many shops and restaurants to explore. Or take a day trip and drive out to the East End to explore the blowhole and crystal caves.
Getting Around:
Walking the stretch of Seven Mile Beach is a favorite past time for most. Public Buses run frequently along West Bay Road. They're easy to catch and inexpensive. Taxi's can be a bit more expensive, but get you directly where you need to go. Approx trip from airport to property is US$30 - $35. However we do recommend renting a car to get around and explore the island.
Other Things to Note:
This apartment is located on the third floor and you will need to climb two sets of stairs to access to unit.
