This was the best hotel I've ever stayed at. It was conveniently located next to a train/subway station (access to 2 lines) which is accessible via the bridge walkway. There is also the Sinyongsan station across the street from that which gives you access to even more lines. There is a very nice convenience store on the 2nd floor of the Ibis hotel which is connected. The room was very modern, clean, and looked very new. The photos of the room are exactly how the room's condition was. It is not touched up to look better. The view is 10/10. All the staff I needed to interact with spoke excellent English, especially the gal with the Russian name :) (I think it's Russian).

It is a great property, conveniently connected to Yongsan station & IPark Mall. The elevators arent managed very well, during the mornings & evenings, expect to wait a bit for the elevators.

This hotel is connected to Ibis which has a 24hrs convenience store (Nice to C U). Via this store, you can purchase / top-up Wow Pass #(for foreigners) or Namane Card. It is also connected to Yongsan Station and a Mall. So, topping up Transport pass (T-pass) is also easy. Note #: Wow Pass holds 2 functions. 1. It allows you to store money to be used almost everywhere within Korea without carrying cash around. 2) It can be used as T-pass. However, you will need to top up T-pass before using.

If I could give 10 stars to the staff it still would not be enough. Especially the guest relations manager. We flew over 7,400 miles so my wife could spend her birthday with our youngest daughter who is serving her first tour with the Air Force. Currently stationed at Kunsan Air Base. We have not seen her in 8 months and my wife was super excited when she arrived. Shortly afterwards, she was recalled to the base due to a shortage of airmen that do what she does. It brought my wife to tears not being able to spend her birthday with our daughter. We had a trip planned to the DMZ that day and she was upset all day. After my daughter was recalled I sent an email from my bed at 02:40 am to the hotel asking if it were possible to have a piece of chocolate cake and a balloon waiting for us when we returned from our tour. Not really expecting anything due to the late request. When we returned our suite was decorated with balloons hanging from the ribbons stuck to the windows overlooking the city with chocolate cake, a bottle of wine and even more impressive, the hand written birthday card perfectly decorated from the Guest Relations Manager. Whenever we travel in the future we will always look for a Novotel property first. Excellent service above and beyond. Thank you so very much. You made her birthday something she will never forget.

Everything went smoothly until the checkout morning. In order to avoid leaving anything behind I checked the back of the sofa that was close to the bed. Then I found a used condom. I have never seen such a gross thing in a hotel room or any places in my life. I didn’t upload the photo here as I don’t want to offend people. I don’t understand how that kind of a dirty thing can be left in the room and was not cleaned for four days. It is the last and the most gross thing you would ever want to find in a hotel room not to mention at a five star hotel in Seoul! When I reported the problem to the manager on duty, he apologized but my whole mood and impression of Novotel is completely ruined. The way the management handled the situation actually made me more mad. He basically said there was not much he could do as we found the dirty stuff on our way to the airport. He paid for a cup of coffee and dragged our bags to the taxi. My whole trip to Korea left dirty feelings and I will never want to stay at any branches of Novotel in any part of the world.
