Gangnam Area Hotel
Overall, the hotel was good. The room was very small so you dont have much space to open up your luggage or hang or store your clothes. They provided 2 bottles of water per day in a small fridge. Nice shower and towels. Be advised that you have to pay extra for early check in. Hotel is a 5 minutes walk to the subway station, 1 minute walk to McDonalds, and 3 minutes walk to CU convenient store (like a 7-11).

It doesn't stand out from the outside, but the inside has a calm atmosphere. There is no bathtub, but the shower booth is convenient. The beds are well made. You can watch YouTube on the TV, and it was great to be able to watch NHK and Korean channels that broadcast Japanese dramas. The breakfast has few varieties and the same menu every day, so you get bored after four nights. However, this is not a reason not to book this hotel. It is one of the hotels I would recommend.

We had a lot of mold in our bathroom, really a lot. We booked 4 nights, but after 2nd night we had to cancel our stay because of the mold. but we were charged 3 nights, even though we only stayed 2 nights. No tea and coffee in the room/reception.

I stayed at Hotel Crescendo for 2 weeks and had an amazing time. Although my room was a bit small by western hotel standards, it was very comfortable, clean and well maintained. The hotel has a restaurant downstairs which offers options for breakfast (4 options - granola and yogurt, omelette and sausage, beef porridge or brioche toast), as well as lunches and dinners. Conveniently, there’s a McDonalds next door and plenty of other cafes and restaurants within a short walking distance. There is also a subway station within a 4 minute walk from the hotel. The staff are very nice and do their best to accommodate your needs. I would recommend hotel crescendo to anyone visiting Seoul.

The Petite Queen is really small (even for me as someone who is 5’1). There was NO storage in the room and had to keep everything in my suitcase. I had to request for extra hangers for my clothes. There was one wall with maybe 5 pegs to hang stuff on. It might be fine for a day or two stay and with a carry-on suitcase. I stayed for 7 nights, and can feel claustrophobic inside. I had a medium checked and a carry-on luggage. I can only have one of them opened at a time. Something to keep in mind if you’re planning to bring a large check-in suitcase. There might not be enough room to open it. There were a small table and two chairs that barely fit my stuff. There was also very little counter space in the bathroom. The room is cute and aesthetic, but it was very pricey for the size and lack of storage. The hotel is also more on the quieter side of Gangnam. Not much going around the immediate area. The airport bus stop is a close by, but there’s a bit of an inclined walk to get to it. Also near the Line 9 train station and a bus stop right outside the hotel lobby.

Staffs are amazing and very accommodating however the room cleanliness did not meet the expectations as their reviews were good. I had to switch room twice because there was bugs in the room. I won’t come back if I had a choice.
