"House itself was very spacious and clean. We stayed 3 nights as a family of 7, 5 adults, 2 children. Only 35 mins to Milan. Many restaurants and grocery nearby. Just is very nice and very responsive to all our questions. Tip-ask about all fees prior to booking. Host fees very high. Home is also along side road and traffic can be heard all day/night. Construction began next door on a new home day 2 at 0700. Not the hosts fault, but something to be considered when charging high host fees. Also...

"Live like a local, in the thick of things, yet in a house that is quiet and cool. WE stayed in end of June, and swam every day among the bees smothered lavender. the house is close to Como, Milan, and Varese, and had everything we needed for our stay. The owners are very nice, and were around when we needed things. Lots of grocery stores, and restaurants close by. "It was much as I had expected, very clean, good views over the valley and excellent communication with Monia, the owner. We succeeded in stealing a key and a mirror and leaving a pair of glasses behind, all of which are finding their way back. Monia is even paying my parking fine for me as I have no idea how to do it and want to remain law abiding!! A great holiday!! PS. Take her advice re going to the Canottieri rowing club for meals. "We used this home as our base as we traveled each day exploring Italy. As a base location, we did not cook or use most of the kitchenware so I can't speak to its adequacy. I would suggest providing more trash liners and some ziplock baggies for guests. The beds were comfortable and the owners were very responsive when we asked about a remote to change the tv to english and also addressing the drain in one of the showers.
