"The staff was impeccable. The owner didn't speak much English,and she was there to greet us when we arrived. The two young people who ran the day to day spoke perfect English, and They were VERY accomodating. There is not someone on property 24 hours, so just ask all your questions before 8pm. There was no problem. We left early, before breakfast opened, and we were able to still get coffee and something to eat anyway. they were very interesting. Rooms modern and sparkling clean!"

"Got back from the Bagnara two days ago and had the most wonderful stay at Victoria Grand Hotel. The staff were very welcoming, friendly and helpful. They went out of their way to help and make my stay enjoyable. The hotels restaurant serves one of the best pasta dishes. A big shout out to Mirium and Perier who most helpful. The general manager Frank was amazing. He went out of his way to take us round the island and show us all the lovely spots. Had the most awesome stay and would recommend. Thank you to Frank, Mirium, Perier and all the staff working at the hotel. "

"Great hotel and the restaurant was outstanding. High recommend anyone who is looking to take the ferry to Messina the hotel is just a few steps away from the ferry option. Metro is close by for further discovery of the city. Hotel staff willing to assist and recommend. Outstanding crew!"

"Once you got beyond the entrance which is not that inviting you were treated to a most comfortable room, very modern and very well appointed. The bathroom is modern and very efficient. The smart tv gives you lots of options. You can log in to Netflix if you have an account (remember your password). Outside the bedroom is a very nice common area supplied with tea and coffee. Upstairs is a lively huge terrace decorated with plants and a comfortable sitting area. There’s a view of the mountains in the distance. Breakfast is at a bar/cafe a very short walk away. The staff there are most accommodating. You can take away your coffee and cornetti if you prefer. The only disadvantage is the 5 mints walk away from the pedestrian area which certainly wouldn’t be a problem for younger people. Be sure to be in touch with the owner ahead of time to let them know your arrival time. There’s no staff at the site. They will meet you there."

"The room itself was okay, if very bare, and there was no information about anything. Although there was a fridge for our use (and some bottled water provided) there was no kettle and no access to the kitchen until breakfast time the next day, so we couldn't make tea. We were admitted to the building when we arrived, but not welcomed. Reception desk was unstaffed, nobody around to greet us or give us any information. The building looked quite neglected. On the plus side, the beds were comfortable and the breakfast was good."
