Isle of Que Guest House

The Isle of Que Guest House is a family friendly 2 Bedroom home on the banks of the Susquehanna River tucked away on a five - mile peninsula just 5 minutes from the university and the town. It is a simple, charming, relaxed, historical two-bedroom island property complete with a fully furnished kitchen, a beautiful waterfront deck, enclosed front porch, air conditioning, and grill.

The guest house provides drinks ( water, coffee, teas), continental breakfast items, fresh linens, towels/sheets, laundry facilities, tv, and netflix included in the rental. The outdoor enthusiast and guests enjoy use of kayaks and bicycles as an added plus.

Available to clients are private dining and catering upon request with a highly qualified culinary graduate and Penn State University fitness trainer. Figo Fit with Chef Chelsey is a fun, inviting experience of culinary delights and both on-site at the guest house or delivery options. Guests are encouraged to contact Chef Chelsey for details. Payments for subcontracted services are done between the guest and the provider of the service

The guest house owner/ property manager resides next door in the main house and is available to provide shuttle service to Selinsgrove downtown shopping and restaurants.

The house is located in a serene, artistic peaceful area and compliments the creative process to write, create and focus on the arts; it's a haven to inspire musical endeavors.

Enjoy a romantic dinner under the stars, a fun, gourmet pizza night, a boxed picnic lunch, breakfast delights and relax in our lovely, natural environment- a five mile peninsula with grace, beauty, and serenity. The check -in time is 3:00 PM and check/out is by 11:00 AM.

We had a wonderful stay in the guest house! The house was beautiful with an amazing view of the river! The host provided breakfast items and drinks and snacks which was a huge plus! This is our second stay and we will be back!

Enjoyable stay
This is a quaint and cozy house. The kitchen has everything needed to cook in if you wish to do so. The owners provided some basic groceries to get us started - very nice and unexpected extra. The beds are comfortable and the house was clean. I would stay here again.

Loved everything about this place. House is located on the Susquehanna River. View from the living room and bed room is beautiful. House is clean and has everything you need for your stay including frosty mugs in the freezer if you want to relax with a cold one while sitting by the river. Thank you so much. 5 stars all the way!

We had a blast. I you are looking for a wonderful scenery and the kindest hosts ever, this place is for you. The view over the river is breathtaking, the kayaks an amazing plus. Not to mention the hot tub and the pool to relax.

Labor Day Getaway
We had a wonderful stay to visit our college-aged daughter, yet also had a getaway on the river that was unforgettable. Truly appreciate all the amenities offered here and the hospitality that was granted to us by the owners. Family vacation
Everything was perfect. We spent the majority of our time on the front porch. Great way to spend with family getting away from all the distractions. The host was excellent very nice and friendly. Could not have asked for anything more. Would love to come back next year.

What an amazing place!
There are very few places I've been where I can say I feel like I'm home the moment I arrive. This place is one of them. It's a perfect size for a small family, and the location is beyond amazing. The kitchen is spacious, the bedrooms are well appointed and the living room is a great place to relax. It's not too big, and not too small - just perfect! The view from the front porch is worth it by itself, but being in the middle of this community was great too! Christi the host was perfect and very helpful. I'd highly recommend this place!

Peaceful Place
Our oldest was graduating from Bucknell and this property was the only one available. When I booked over a year ago, it appeared to be a good place to lay our heads. It was actually better than that. The town was absolutely adorable and all were friendly. The cottage was perfect and extremely comfortable. The surroundings were so peaceful, beautiful and the river front spot added the vacation water feel. We travel all over and have never had such a gracious host. Upon arrival, we were greeted and told if there’s anything you need, don’t hesitate to ask. The fridge was stocked with basics for breakfast. Coffee and milk being a major score for us. We were very grateful for this and hope to do a return trip.

Peaceful stay on the river
The Isle of Que Guest House was the perfect spot to spend 3 days with my adult daughters. This was the first outing we've had since the start of the pandemic and it allowed us to spend time together and still feel safe. The house was perfect for our needs with two bedrooms (we put an air mattress in one), a comfortable living room, dining room and very well stocked kitchen. The listing mentions "continental breakfast" but there was so much more provided, including eggs, English muffins, a variety of cheese, coffee, tea, soft drinks. Christi responded to all inquiries quickly before our trip and was easily available for all questions during our stay. Being able to use the private pool was an added bonus during the very hot days we were there. Kayaking on the river was another bonus and the Susquehanna is the perfect place to do so. The river itself is beautiful, and the view changes throughout the day. It has a personality of its own. If you're looking for a peaceful few days, this is an excellent choice. We hope to return in the future!

Amazing views, house, and hosts
The Isle of Que is a hidden gem along the Susquehanna River. Its quiet, peaceful, timeless beauty is quintessential to what the Keystone State has to offer. It is also one of the best Pennsylvania has to offer. The guest house is just yards away from the riverbank, yet it is well-positioned at the top of a grassy slope, providing a commanding view of the river. The house and its location are enough to give anybody an amazing getaway experience. However, what sets this property above and beyond the rest are the hosts. Enough cannot be said about how hospitable and welcoming they are. Both are high-quality, selfless people who are a wealth of information. My wife, son, and I enjoyed kayaking, fishing, bicycling, and swimming on the Isle of Que. In the evening, we enjoyed delicious s'mores by the fire. We also made trips to downtown Selinsgrove to the Kind Cafe, BJ's Tavern & Oyster Bar, the movie theater, and Susquehanna University. There was plenty to do and the area represents some of the best Pennsylvania has to offer, and the hosts made our stay very pleasant and memorable.

A Relaxing Getaway
Christi and Shane are amazing hosts. We were welcomed throughout our stay and everything was just right in the house. It is an extremely relaxing home away from home with scenic views. Highly recommended!

We enjoyed a lovely weekend visiting our son. The guesthouse provided a quiet retreat away from the bustling campus activities. We enjoyed our morning coffee on the front porch and the beautiful view of the river. We walked to the farmers market and also enjoyed the scenic walk along the river on the Isle of Que.

Isle of Que Guest House
My wife and I spent a week at the Guest House using it as a home base as we visited friends and family in the local area. Our stay was excellent and the Guest House was the perfect place to come home to after a busy day. The hosts were attentive and maintained communication. The house was charming and afforded a beautiful view of the river from a wrap around porch. Everyone we met was friendly and welcoming! We’ll return here on our next trip!

Beautiful property and thoughtful, friendly owners! We loved the river view, the pool, and roasting marshmallows in the outdoor fireplace. We also appreciated the gluten free breakfast items and snacks waiting for us when we arrived.
