"Fabulous Parador in the mountains. Upgrade to a Mountain View room if you can. Staff friendly and helpful, excellent restaurant serving the best octopus I’ve ever had. Rooms aren’t huge but are well equipped.Parador easy to find and roads are good. Can’t wait to come back!"

"Outstanding quaint little mountain town with just a couple of bars, restaurants and small places to stay. Narrow cobblestone streets and tight parking. Very quiet and peaceful. Nice little restaurant below the hotel both run personally by the owner who is happy to chat, provide helpful service, and tailor meal times to your activities. "Probably the worse hotel we ve ever stayed in .And we have stayed in Talavera 10 times.Rooms were tiny like cupboards,bathroom was filthy,bedroom window looked onto disused part of hotel that was abandoned, had bath and bathroom flooded,more like prison than a hotel .needs bulldozing..the lobby was the nicest bit and that looked like something from the 70s. all in all really awful."

"We had a warm welcome from the owner, and the apartment we stayed in was a good size, with a separate bedroom and living/kitchen area. The apartment is above a garage (separate to the rest of the hostel) and below the owners living area. The kitchen was mostly well equipped, with a microwave, oven, hob, filter coffee machine, dishwasher and washing machine, plenty of crockery and pans. However, there is no kettle (we used a pan to boil water on the hob) and it was woefully short on cutlery,...
