"Cleanliness of the rooms can be improved further especially the toilet. Service of the hotel team is excellent. We took the dinner package. On our second night dinner the ramadhan buffet hardly had anything non spicy for my 5yo. So i requested a fried egg and the manager and chef went above and beyond to accommodate it. "The aircon was noisy, the rooms are also not at all sound proof. The first room they gave us was in bad condition, so we changed and had to pay more. It was worth it, the second room was much better. But still had some issues. Broken glass from lamp, not proper working toilet host ect.. but some good things like extras were availale in the room."

"The hotel is in a very good position, near to the jetty and all local eateries. Our room was great with partial sea view and view over the trees complete with monkeys. The room was comfortable and the balcony nice. Best of all the staff were wonderful from reception to catering to cleaning - all treated us well. My only gripes are that the hotel on the whole was only superficially clean and some of the hot food was less than hot but having said thatI would recommend the Orient Star."

"Ok for short stay. The room is dated and not well maintained. Both toilets leak from the back making the tile floor wet. High risk of someone slipping. Advised the reception about issue but only make empty promises to have issue resolved. TV reception very poor. No tea orovided."
