"Stayed here one night because of the lack of affordable accommodation in Leipzig. Hotel is across the road from the train station, making it convenient to get to Leipzig, which was our main priority. Hotel is surrounded by woodland and has parking available. Rooms are on the small side, but the biggest issue was that there is no air-conditioning (only a portable fan) or a fridge in the rooms and as they are on the top floor, they become stifling in the summer heat. You can't open the windows as there are mosquitos but no flyscreens. Staff were helpful with providing details on train times, etc."

"Das Zimmer bot fast alles was wichtig ist. Bei diesen hohen Temperaturen (über 30 Grad ) wäre vielleicht ein Ventilator nicht schlecht gewesen. Das Fenster ließ sich zwar öffnen, aber bei diesen Temperaturen nicht wirklich hilfreich. Vielleicht wäre auch eine Klimaanlage vernünftig. Ansonsten war unser Aufenthalt sehr gut."

"We were just passing through Altenburg staying for one night so booked this based on price rather than aesthetic appeal and had no expectations of greatness. We were very pleasantly surprised. The receptionist was very pleasant and helpful. The room was large and clean with a good bathroom. The bar also helped things along. Overall I would recommend this hotel, it is much better than the picture would suggest. "
