Great getaway
It was great and perfectly cute. Nice grass area to relax at. No smart tv or DVD player but it didn’t take away from us having a good time.

our favorite sedona stay
We have stayed here over and over, it’s our favorite spot, such a gem of a find! It’s right in the canyon and it’s GORGEOUS- there is red rock all around you, it’s peaceful, and you have private access to the creek and an awesome hike close by. slide rock park is two minutes away. we love it here! I think this was our fifth stay at this property. if you want peace and quiet near sedona, pack some food and hunker down here

Very nice
Pros: easy to find, easy to park, away from the crowds and traffic jams. Very clean and streamlined. Good linens, plenty of towels. Has AC. Cons: the mattresses are thin and uncomfortable, the only exception being the mattress on the trundle bed. You can hear everything if you leave the windows open, including what’s going on in the bathroom next door if they have theirs open too. They only gave us one roll of thin paper towels and two rolls of prison TP for a four night stay. We had to buy more. FYIs: the kitchen has a toaster oven and an electric hot plate. There’s a propane grill outside. It’s a drip coffee maker, and they provided a good amount of decent coffee. This location is perfect for either going south to the red rocks or north to the forests. Beautiful scenery.

Needs work
This place needs work. Here’s the good and bad… The good: - location is just a few minutes drive from downtown Sedona (and a very beautiful drive indeed) - I had a question when we arrived and I contacted the host via text and I received a response within minutes. The bad: - Wish I could attach pictures to this review, because as we walked up to the front door of cabin 5, the fabric portion of the welcome mat is ripped from it (the part you need to clean the bottom of your shoes is literally missing from the rubber part of the mat). We enter the interior and find a couch (not the one shown on the website) that looks and feels like it was bought at a garage sale 7 years ago. (Some of the pictures on the site are definitely not recent pictures of cabin 5. I suspect the pics were taken during the remodeling.). We go to the back patio and we are greeted with a patio set nestled next to a rat trap (seriously, a rat trap) and a nice array of weeds, cigarette butts, and a deteriorating roof. Seriously, a little landscaping and building upkeep would go a long way here to help bring out the beauty of the rock behind the building. - I don’t want to describe what my wife found on the shower wall but I will tell you it was probably from someone’s nose. - The building has thin walls and/or poorly insulated walls because the road noise from route 89A was very loud (drops off around 0930) and the noise from the people in cabin 6 was ridiculous. - The trundle bed was very squeaky (our 12 year old had trouble falling asleep on the bed). - The TV in the bedroom area did not work (only reason I wanted to use it was to drown out the noise from the folks in the next cabin).

Great host, but disappointed by wifi
We stayed in Cabin 5 for 4 nights and overall enjoyed our stay. The host was quick to address any needs we had. However, the inconsistent wifi signal with a limitation of no streaming was a challenge for our family. The wifi connection was not adequate for my work needs and our kids were bored when it rained since they could not stream or use wifi. I wish these limitations had been listed up front on VRBO.

Won't recommend
Cob webs on the light fixtures, shower head had mold on it, the sheets and pillows weren't very clean, pay a cleaning fee and you have to take out your own trash and clean your dishes. The ace should have looked and smelled clean for the price, let alone all of the fees. The toilet was awful, doesn't flush well. Paper thin walls. You can seriously hear absolutely everything including the highway. Should be wheel chair accessible. Would not recommend.

Quick getaway
The property was nice, beds were ok. Queen beds just fine, twin bed and pull out pretty rickety. Kitchen supplies good. Comfortable to sleep six but less so for a board game or eating, would be just fine in summer with eating or sitting outside. Was strange to not have shampoo, soap and dish towels but we read there wouldn't be and took our own. We'd go back!

Communication and check in was easy. The place was clean except for the couch. It was exactly as appeared in the photos. We had a problem with toilet the last day that was not due to anything we did.

Cabin in Sedona
The property is conveniently located in Sedona. The check-in and check-out instructions were very detailed and easy to follow. The linens provided were very clean and had nice running hot water. The only downside, if there was one was that phone coverage was spotty but we did have WiFi. The other thing that did not work was the TV. We did not miss it as we had no time to watch tv but it would have been helpful to check on the news and weather. No complains though. We loved the cabin and were very satisfied with the property.

Nice little cabin in the woods. Better than expected. Quite modern not old and dingy. Check-in was a breeze It was clean and actually quite roomy for us and our 2 kids. The patio is right up against red rock formation and it's a nice place to have our coffee in the morning. The location is beautiful. Close to several hikes and about 10 minute scenic drive to uptown Sedona.

Overall good
It was a very cute, clean and up to date cabin. Spacious enough for comfortable sleeping for our group of 5. The veiw was fabulous. The only thing that would have been nice, is to have known the number of stairs to enter. My elderly mother was able to manage them with assist, but it would have been nice to know in advance. Also I feel your description of the trail down to the creek was misleading. It is a very steep embankment down to the creek, and takes an experienced climber to get down there. Not for family friendly use. You should make a more stable and defined trail if you are going to advertise it as an asset to the cabin stay. It is accessible to few guests.

First getaway since baby and pandemic.
This was my husband and my first getaway with our infant since the pandemic started over a year ago. We weren't sure how vacation with a baby would go (first timers lol), but we enjoyed this property a ton. The courtyard with waterfall/turf and the creek just across the street were perfect to help keep our little guy entertained on the days when we were needing to be at the property for naps/etc. Slide rock is right down the street which was so close and fun for our little guy. After our baby was asleep for the night in the room we had fun cooking and hanging out in the living room with the rock fireplace and the back patio was a cute spot too (perfect so we could have some adult time with the baby monitor in reach). The beds were comfy, everything was clean, and the kitchen had the basics so you can prepare food (grocery store was a bit of a drive, but we stocked up the first day). The cabin design was super cute and cozy as well. For families with children/infants.... The bedroom can sleep several persons. The shower is a walk in shower (no tub), so we brought a small blow up pool that we filled up with water to bath our baby in each night. The shower floor was large enough to accommodate the tiny pool. Our packnplay fit between the two queen beds, and the curtains in the room were pretty good at blocking out light during nap times. We were decently able to maintain his nap/sleep schedule/routines in this cabin. We would definitely rebook at this cabin in the future!

We stayed here for a few days during our Thanksgiving break and it was just what we needed. A well deserved break from city life but also not too far away where the kids still had super comfy beds to sleep in. We will definitely be back.

Great option!
Our stay at destination Oak was very nice the only thing is that we killed some spiders and will recommend to bring a spray to kill spiders since there was nothing at the facility and I do hate spiders. The place was very convenient since Sedona is very close and it is a beautiful city. There are many beautiful towns close by, and the scenery is amazing! We enjoyed our stay here, but if you plan to cook make sure you bring the basics since there was no salt or silverware and plates and there were not very many we were 5 and there was like only 4 forks and 4 plates. The kitchen has a portable stove that work fine. At night there was not noise even though we were next to the pathway I felt very peaceful at this place.
