Desert Jewel in Red Rock country

Beautiful location in the last remaining homestead still undeveloped in Sedona. The views from property are stunning.

The room is equipped with a king bed and cute kitchen with micro, 2burner stove, toaster, power xl air fryer oven, full size fridge with auto ice maker, dishwasher, outdoor bbq, Keurig and mr coffee, coffee maker.
There is no living room but a cute breakfast nook that you can sit and play cards or use your computer. Or just enjoy a home cooked meal. There is a comfy chair to relax in.
We keep cupboards stocked with typical kitchen stuff. Salt pepper, sugar,creamer.

The WiFi is usually great, sometimes in inclement weather we get outages and the cell service can be iffy if your not on Verizon. ATT is really bad!

The TV is. 48” flat screen, connected to Direct TV. TiVo if you want to record your favorite game to watch later. We have Netflix and Prime TV too!

The patio boasts a beautiful vantage point of Cathedral Rock the most photographed rock in Arizona. It’s very pleasant just to relax outside and enjoy the beautiful view of Cathedral Rock either from the patio of from our hot tub.
The property is peaceful and private and a great spot to sit during the morning sunrise or evening sunset.

In this courtyard you have a hot tub that is shared with the adjacent room on the property, but far enough away not to disturb. You must request it before your stay for it to be on in the colder and very hot months.

We offer EBike rentals on the property, ask us about our rates and availability during your stay. It’s the newest thing to hit Sedona, and so much fun exploring on them.
Hiking and biking are right out your front and back door. No need to even leave the property to face the traffic and the tourist scene. This is where people come to ride or hike from in town, the area is not as hustle and bustle, more romantic.

We do not like multiple cars, travel trailers or atvs parked here.
This room is also a no pet room, we just updated floor and dogs 🐕 are not welcome at this time.

Absolutely Great Place
This was our first time in Sedona so we threw a dart at the VRBO board and hit a bullseye! We are more inclined to outdoor activities and quiet settings and "Desert Jewel in Red Rock" was all of that. It sits a few miles outside of Sedona and is easily accessible from SW of town (avoiding 11 busy roundabouts). Everything the host lists is accurate. They are long time residents and very knowledgeable about the area and willingly gave us ideas for hikes, restaurants, coffee, crafts/arts, parks and e-biking. We follow a tight budget as retirees but it was worth every penny to stay at Desert Jewel - we hope to do it again in coming years. The lodging is beautiful. We cooked several meals in the small kitchen and on the grill. The bed was absolutely perfect for us - not too soft or hard. The hot tub was a huge blessing and relaxation after a day of hiking, biking and car rides. The view is magnificent and there are numerable beautiful hikes nearby without going into or through Sedona town. Communication prior to and during our visit was excellent. We definitely recommend Desert Jewel in Red Rock Country. Thanks so much for a wonderful week at your place!!

A Gem Indeed

Weekend away from the crowds
a beautiful studio on the outskirts of Sedona with an amazing view. It was the perfect location to avoid the crowds of Sedona. Relaxing in the hot tub while starring at the stars capped off most of our nights.

Perfect Stay!
This was the perfect spot for us to spend a week. The view can’t be beat, the host was friendly and we took advantage of the bike tour and pizza party on Friday night and loved connecting with others. We are looking forward to going back (again and again and again).

Great property! Separate from main house with plenty of privacy. Nice view of cathedral rock. Carolyn is a super hostess and her bike tour is fun and informative. The room is clean, bed is comfortable and all amenities are as described. Location just a short drive to downtown Sedona. Will definitely stay here again when in Sedona.

Love the location!
Delightful 4 night stay in this perfect space on the western edge of Sedona. It's on a quiet rural road a few miles out from town with a beautiful view of Cathedral Rocks and perfect night time skies. The Sedona shuttle bus services to the trailheads were great, and many hikes/mountain bike rides are easily accessible from this location. The place is exactly as described with limited space and limited kitchen. A little cramped at times but totally adequate for 2 people. The outdoor dining space was private and delightful, hot tub wonderful, and Carolyn was very helpful. Highly recommended.

Sedona is a magical, mystical place to be. This VRBO is exactly as described. A studio apt with all the amenities and an exceptional hot tub to relax in after a day of hiking, biking and exploring. Beautiful sunsets of Cathedral rock from the patio while enjoying a fine glass of wine in the hot tub. This property was amazing and the view was priceless. The room was perfect for our needs. The hot tub was a wonderful bonus and a great way to start and end our day after hiking. Our host was full of knowledge and very helpful. Sedona was even better then I had imagine and the hikes were all worth it. This time of year was perfect as we barely waited for parking spaces to hike or restaurants to enjoy! Next time we would do Carolyn’s ebike tour since it looked like lots of fun but we ran out of time! Would defiantly recommend to others and we will be coming back hopefully soon!

So lovely
My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights in November for our anniversary. It could not have been more lovely. It's a beautiful, quiet location. It's on the owners property, but still very private. The hot tub is a nice touch and we hiked pyramid trail just behind the property. It's not on the strip but it's only 5 minutes from everything you could need.
