Rustic cabin with perfect sunsets on the shores of Saginaw bay.
This peaceful cabin will take you back in time with a great view of the bay. You are only minutes away from world class fishing and hunting. Caseville (15 minutes north) offers great shopping and a very nice public beach, and Sebewaing (4 miles south) has a nice supermarket and other shopping. This cabin is a quite retreat, but still offers the comforts of home as we have updated a lot of amenities but kept the retro vibe of the decor. A campfire as the sun goes down is the perfect end to a day at this quiet retreat.

What an amazing place to stay!! The view is amazing amd the sunsets are breathtaking! Our family stayed up there for some walleye fishing. The fishing was tuff but it was nice to come and kick back in the living room with an amazing view! A nice and quick place with very nice neighbors very
Perfect little spot by the water. Great little neighborhood. The area was amazing too. Can't beat those sunsets either. Thanks for sharing your cabin with us. We look forward to returning.
We really enjoyed our stay! It’s rustic but the view is worth it. Seeing swans and their babies all swimming in a line, so cool. So quiet but close to fun places, like Caseville.

June weekend
Kind of a mixed bag. The view was absolutely amazing. The beds were extremely comfortable as was the leather couch. The 70's carpet gave me pause as to it's cleanliness. Of course there was iron in the hard water, but no excuse for the kitchen sink's condition which looked like it hadn't been cleaned for months (whereas the shower was spotless) & excrement on the toilet seat.
Wade was awesome to deal with and the property is exactly the way it looks online! It is not really close to any towns - but a quick trip to Caseville is easy enough.
There are 2 bedrooms and the main bedroom has a very comfortable bed and great pillows. The area is very quiet and the sunsets are breathtaking!!

Beautiful Views
The cabin is rustic, but well stocked and clean. Internet and cell service are spotty which made contacting the owner about issues a challenge. We ended up not staying at the property once the toilet flusher broke within the first hour of being there. Excessive spider webs covered the cabin but not the other homes in the area.
We had a very peaceful stay. The back of the cabin faced the marsh land of Saginwa bay, this supplied us with entertainment from the water foul native to the area.
Internet was slow if you plan on doing work while your there , but don't go to work. There are two towns close with nice places to eat. The Lamplighter in Sebewaing,Mi was wonderful to eat at.
Had such a great time. Cabin was comfy. The only thing I would do is keep the windows free from cobwebs and spider, keep them clean. To me the main attraction is definitely the view from the wall of windows!!! Amazing bay view. With a view like that you definitely don’t want anything to disrupt it. Very quiet and relaxing.
I found the property nice but there was a couple issues the door lock worked very hard and the door knob fell off when shutting the door easily put back on other than that everything was good.

“All the comforts” is generous
Everything is old, and not in a “charming” way. There’s “rustic” and then there’s “nothing in this place has been touched since the early 80’s”. Cigarette butts, used toothbrushes, unwashed coffee cups. No instructions for linens or trash. It’s great as a “going to my buddy’s cabin for the weekend”, but not as a vacation rental.

Rustic Cabin
The view of Saginaw Bay is nice. Lots of tall grass growing in the water and it must have a lot of waterfowl in the summer. Nice view and sunsets. There was no helpful cabin information on the VRBO site. The cabin is dated: the kitchen appliances are old, no coffee maker other than a 1970s percolator, no toaster, microwave was stationary and the cord would not reach an outlet. Needs updating. Couldn't connect to internet. Texted owner and he resolved the issue and he invited us to move to another cabin he owns next door. It was very nicely updated and comfortable with robust internet and very clean. We appreciated the owners willingness to accommodate us. He also checked in a few times to make sure things were going well. We enjoyed our time there.
Overall we enjoyed our stay in this cottage. The positives...1) the scenic view of the water through the west facing windows, very relaxing, loved watching the wildlife and sunsets, 2) having air-conditioning, 3) plenty of hot water on demand, 4) comfortable queen bed, 5) being pet friendly.
This cottage is part of a long established cottage community in the Sebewaing area. The interior still has its vintage pine paneled walls and kitchen cabinets. Kitchen is fairly well stocked with dishes, utensils and cooking pans. One suggestion would be to bring your own drinking/cooking water since the cottage water is iron laden well water (not softened or filtered).
The bathroom is small, especially the shower but has plenty of hot water.
There is a fire pit with firewood available as well as a gas grill.
We were able to use our phones and computers aok through the internet service provided.
Luke's Market on US25 coming into Sebewaing is a wonderful grocery store to shop at. The nearest Walmart is in Bad Axe.
I think to sum up our experience I will say that while the cottage may have been a bit more "rustic" than we expected...we came home feeling like we had a true vacation...relaxed and inspired...mainly due to the low key location and natural scenery. Thank You Wade!
Very quiet.. beds were very comfortable. All the things in the listing were as stated. Would definitely be my first choice for my next visit to the. Area.
Wonderful cabin with lots of space and amazing view!!!!!
Only suggestion is that you list bedding provided in listing instead of bedsheets provided as we had to pack blankets and pillows because we thought we had to.
Quiet, peaceful cabin in wonderful safe neighborhood. (Even neighbors are friendly!) Spectacular view. Inside very retro great, from vintage porcelain drainboard sink, charming dotted Swiss curtains and even vintage aluminum webbed lawn chairs. Complete nostalgia. Loved it all. Super comfortable furniture and beds.. Wade was just a super host, replying immediately to concerns, recommending sites and restaurants. Wonderful, relaxing weekend here!
As others have said, the view out the window here is so lovely. So many birds. And the sunsets are spectacular. The kitchen is equipped with the basics. Bring your own spices. The neighborhood is very quiet. A beautiful place to unwind.
