Your own Wine Country Cottage

private, free standing cottage with own bath and kitchen on small family farm in rolling hills of Sebastopol. This cottage was featured on FYI Newtwork's "Tiny House Hunters" and "Tiny House Nation" tv shows. The cottage has its own yard and garden. It overlooks some farm animals and a eucalyptus grove. You will see our mini-horse, chickens and maybe our sheep meander by on the other side of the fence. The cottage is fully insulated for even temperature. It is bright, private, modern-rustic with open beam ceilings and a Vermont Castings gas vented fireplace. A flick of the switch and 'voila' a beautiful, warm fire in the hearth. The bathroom has a glass shower, no tub. There is a queen-sized bed with the most comfortable mattress imaginable. While the cottage is most suitable for two, there is also an organic cotton and wool coil full-size futon sofa that sleeps two. The cabin is easily accessible from parking area.
You can really cook there. There is a two burner stove, a large microwave, toaster oven, coffee and tea maker, and lots of pots and pans, etc. We are happy to share our farm fresh eggs, and whatever else may be in season on the farm. We try to leave it stocked with coffee, tea, condiments, honey, etc. The guests have exclusive use of the adjacent yard. There is a small garden there where guests can help themselves to strawberries, greens for a salad, fresh herbs or whatever is in season.
The farm is located in the Twin Hills area of Sebastopol. This desirable area is known for its rolling hills, apple orchards, Christmas tree farms and now vineyards. It is in the Russian River Appellation of wine country, known for chardonnay and pinot noir grapes. There are many beautiful walks to take right out the door. While you may feel far away from it all, downtown Sebastopol is less than a ten minute drive, and door to door we are twenty minutes to the beaches and cliffs of Bodega Bay. There is such a variety of things to do in our area. Sebastopol is famous for its award winning wineries, restaurants and antique shops. It also has an artsy-bohemian feel, and many residents and restaurants are dedicated to the slow food movement. There is also great swimming, kayaking, canoeing and picnicking at the Russian River. You can hike through the Redwoods at Armstrong Woods. We can fill you in on our favorite spots and activities.
The cottage has a smart tv, wireless internet, dvd player, indoor fireplace, free parking, smoke and carbon monoxide detector, full kitchen, shampoo, conditioner, soaps, hair dryer.

Sonoma County ordinances require quiet hours between 10 pm -7am. Room for two cars maximum.

Peaceful and cozy
The cottage was a great place to stay while attending a writing class in Sebastapol. The location feels peaceful but not isolated. I enjoyed having the chickens and sheep nearby! I hope to stay here again. Thank you!

Adorable awesome cottage
Tip: make sure the hot water works when you first arrive. The homeowners are very friendly. We enjoyed all the animals, fresh eggs and produce. Very cozy for 4 people. We will be coming back!

Private Country Cabin
Very quiet Except for the howling dogs. Neighbors have many dogs howling randomly. Cute cabin with most of you need. A microwave would have been a big improvement for heating small items, also a larger oven would have been good to heat a pizza. Overall a nice quiet place, except dogs, very private. Bed was comfortable, good nights rest.

Small, convenient place for 2 adults
We enjoyed the setting and the animals. The cottage was clean and well stocked with all the necessities. We had 3 adults and with the futon bed in use, it was too crowded around the kitchen area. We mostly toured about so didn't spend all day there and at night we were quite comfortable, plus the shower and provided towels were very nice. We'd recommend it for 2 adults.

Well appointed cottage in serene surroundings
Owners have thought of everything in this very comfortable one room cottage. The kitchenette was fully equipped. We even invited our son and his wife in to enjoy a glass of wine with us in the living room and had plenty of space.

a good place to be
a pleasant place to relax or to use as a base to explore west Sonoma county; fresh eggs in refrigerator, little pony who appreciates apples, a garden with greens and tomatoes to pick, and a comfortable bed!

We loved the property and the area.
We loved the property and the area. The owner has three wonderful, friendly dogs, several cats and lots of chickens and goats, plus a horse. We were encouraged to interact with them if we wanted. The cottage had everything we needed to cook or barbecue, had cable TV, books, maps and guides to the local wine country, and free WiFi. Even fresh eggs in the refrigerator! We visited a local bakery, Bodega Bay, and the Sonoma Coastline. We would definitely come here again.

Great experience overall! The cottage was quaint and had everything we could have hoped for!
The property was a home away from home! Mary had all the accoutrements one could think of; I don't think she missed anything! We got farm fresh eggs delivered almost daily, along with fresh fruits from the garden, and cream for coffee. And if you needed anything else, Mary was happy to oblige. We especially loved the comfy bed, so much so that it was hard to get out of in the mornings! We also loved all the aromatherapy from the soaps to the bath gel and lotion. Mary also had fresh cut flowers for us and a bottle of wine to greet us with when we arrived! She also had plenty of suggestions for things to do; wineries to visit etc. The cottage is in the perfect setting; on a farm with wonderful animals, and the peace and tranquility that goes along with that. We could not have chosen a better place for our wedding anniversary, and we already cannot wait to return!
