"My husband has always wanted to visit Stacy/Sealevel area for fishing and the solitude of the area. The house was so cute, extremely clean, and well stocked. The yard was perfect for our lab and with no neighbors she was free to run, certainly a plus. Our only down side was that the water level was very low while we were there so no fishing from the dock; however, there were other spots nearby and we booked a charter out of Harker’s Island, which allowed us to take our dog, so hubby got to catch his fish. There is no grocery store nearby so be sure to stock up before you arrive. We did find a small grocery/hardware store in Harker's Island that had a good selection to stock us up. Also, bring bug spray, the horseflies are no joke! The owner was fantastic and responded to all our questions quickly. If you’re looking for a quiet, secluded space to unwind this is a great choice. "

"This quaint spot is perfect for a quick getaway. Convenient to shops, especially Beaufort waterfront. Beautifully decorated with all needed conveniences. Bethany was very pleasant to deal with. Oh and the Dancing Baristas coffee shop downstairs was the icing on the cake."

"If you’re looking for quiet and solitude, along with a homey place to lay your head - Windswept is it. My husband and I took our two miniature dachshunds with us for 7 days and 6 nights. There was a yard for them to run around in, a long board walk through a salt marsh down to a private beach. We caught crabs ( and threw them back), we flew kites, and just rested. One day we did take the Cedar Island ferry to Oacrscoke (a four hour journey - there and back). Be prepared to come with groceries, as the only store is a Dollar General in Seal Level. The nearest grocery store is 22 miles away. I was able to walk my dogs, off leash, due to the privacy and lack of a lot of neighbors. You’ll enjoy the small beach. If you’re into fishing, I recommend you bring your own poles and make sure you have bait. It’s truly a comfortable house, clean with everything you’ll need. We enjoyed watching the purple martins in the backyard. It made me feel more at home, as I too raise Purple Martins. If you’re looking for comfort and privacy Windswept is for you!"

"We came for a weekend getaway. Bed was comfortable. Nicely decorated room. Food in the restaurant was excellent. Customer service was great. We will definitely be back. "

"The cottage is close to everything. It was nice to be able to ride bikes around town. We stayed in the Lighthouse. It had everything we needed. The owners quickly responded when we had questions. "

"Very convenient/walkable to shopping, dining, and activities. Our view from room 303 was beautiful and the atmosphere in general is relaxing. The staff was very nice and helpful. It's an older place but well maintained, clean, and quaint. My only issues are that I didn't know that the entrance to parking is on Queen Street (a one way street) and I had a hard time getting to parking (especially with construction). Also more breakfast offerings would be nice. The website states quiche as an option but they only offered muffins, bagels, yogurt and oatmeal, plus beverages. I will stay at the Inlet Inn again. I was very pleased. "

"The sun comes up in radiant orange. The home is warm with all the amenities. The Lowdermilks have expanded the yard behind the house and made it roomy entertainment for friends and visitors. Every thing about the cottage is readily available and "in its place". The only thing left to do is enjoy the ocean,the people and the serenity."
