"We stayed just one night on a fleeting motorbike tour. Plenty of secure parking for the bike and no problem with the surface. Florence is welcoming and helpful, a very interesting and talented lady. She holds one of those, nowadays, rare qualities of creative vision. I have stayed in far too many soul less, clinical lodgings that I care to mention. This being the perfect antidote. "Une terrasse inexploitable, sans chaise ni table. Un espace de vie commun donc petit déjeuner avec les voisins. Petit déjeuner loin d’être satisfaisant (pas de choix, pas de pain frais, pas de viennoiseries). Un lit peu confortable. Une climatisation qui souffle sur le lit. Une description sur le site qui prête à confusion car le bain à remous et non compris dans le prix Rapport qualité/prix excessivement cher pour la région. Nous avons été très déçu et regrettons notre choix"

"Could not recommend this guest house enough! It’s perfectly located in the heart of a lovely little French town. The owner, Michael, is one of the best hosts I’ve ever met. His generosity and thoughtfulness to our wellbeing went far above the norm, and dramatically improved our overall experience in Jegun. "

"Believe the website said bar and restaurant but the place had neither. Very nice property but well above and away from the town area and so walking to find dinner was very inconvenient. Nice place but would not stay again due to being sort of stranded without food for dinner."

"Excellent accueil de Nathalie qui a vraiment été à nos petits soins; nous y avons séjourné une nuit, avec dîner et petit déjeuner, tous 2 excellents. Nous avons bien apprécié d'échanger avec elle, en toute confiance, le tout dans un cadre calme, à la campagne, sans oublier Coco le coq, les poneys, les chèvres naines et Joy la chienne! Un lieu que l'on recommande, sans hésitation."

"The property is a traditional French farmhouse with all the good but also less good things that entails. It was very clean and everything worked well but was a little hard to find. The owners/managers were really helpful and very willing to wait up for me when I was very late for check in. Breakfasts were traditional French, coffee, orange juice, baguettes with butter and jam and croissants. The home made apricot jam was very good!"

"Single room in a small home. You are basically a house guest which is a good thing. Owner brought me surprise dinner in the evening (pizza-esque quiche, a bowl of fresh cherries, pear juice, a banana, and cookies) and had a great breakfast spread too (better than the gîtes: fresh squeezed juice, ham, softboiled egg[?].) She was a great host but never oppressive (it is a small home, so this is a good thing.) Owner's cat FiFi will not let you pet her (I tried), and moves quite quickly for...

"The bedroom and bathroom were very small and basic but it was very clean and everything worked. The receptionist in particular made us very welcome and was extremely helpful. Dinner was good and was very reasonably priced. The room was overpriced."

Family friendly fabulous property

"Mark and Gill were super hosts from start to finish. The facilities at the property were outstanding - fabulous heated swimming pool; well equipped games room; comfortable, spacious, well appointed accommodation; provision of bicycles and other sports equipment; large garden set in a peaceful, rural, location. Near to cycle path, tennis court and interesting towns. It was perfect for our family who all had a wonderful stay. Highly recommended "

Poor service

"We have stayed at this hotel on several occasions, it is very basic but suits our needs as an overnight stop with a dog. Last night we arrived and found the toilet seat cracked through and the sink cracked, the shower sealant was mouldy. I informed the reception about the toilet seat and was told there was no other rooms available and she thanked me for telling her. This morning at breakfast I gave my dog a piece of my paid for baguette and a piece of cheese, the gentleman on reception came into the breakfast room and informed me the food was for humans and not dogs! There was a French man with his dog in the breakfast room, he gave his dog food with no problem. We will not be staying here again and I would not recommend this hotel based onmy latest experience, I felt extremely threatened by the attitude of the male receptionist and his manner towards me. "

"Charming hotel but definitely not for the English speaking traveler. Hotel staff (the night we checked in) was unable/unwilling to assist us in securing a taxi, so we ended up leaving after just one (out of our non-refundable two!) night. Overall, disappointed with our experience. "
