1119 Summerwind Cottage

This fabulous Summerwind Cottage has been renovated floor to ceiling and is new to our rental program! Summer Wind Cottages are located just one mile from the island's main Beach Club area, which features outdoor pools, outdoor and indoor restaurants, two golf courses, and multiple beach boardwalks. North Beach and its wide-open sand beach is a short bike ride away! If you're up for a short walk, Pelican Beach is just around the corner (approx. ½ mile) – a great place to watch the sunsets, spot dolphins or search for shells. Your family and friends can enjoy a peaceful retreat while being close to so many of Seabrook Island's great amenities.

Enter the cottage and be impressed by all the attention to detail. The kitchen features stainless steel appliances, butcher block counters, subway tile, and a farm house sink. The walls are ship lapped bringing the beach vibe into your cottage. A large dining table easily accommodates your whole family with seating for six to eight. Ship lap walls continue throughout the cottage. The dining area has vaulted ceilings and opens into the living room. Off the living room is the large sun porch. This room has a full wall of floor to ceiling windows, bringing the nature of Seabrook Island to your back door. You can access the sunroom from the living room and the master bedroom. The sunroom has both dining and living areas. This room is the ideal gathering spot for you and your family to share the stories of your day. A large sectional sofa, ceiling fans and Smart TV make for a cozy retreat. Eat your meals on the sunporch with seating for 6 in the dining area.

The master bedroom en-suite has a king bed, ceiling fan and Smart TV. The master bedroom has sliders leading out to the sun porch. A large walk-in closet is behind the barn door. The renovated master bath has a long vanity, and oversized walk-in shower. There are two guest bedrooms in the cottage both sharing the hall bath. The first guest bedroom has a queen bed and sliders leading out to the back deck. A bunk room is the second guest room. Here you will find a triple bunk bed on one wall and a twin bunk over full bed on the opposite wall. The renovated bathroom has a tub/ shower combo. A laundry closet houses the full size washer and dryer with iron and ironing board.

Head outdoors to the back deck. On the back deck you will find a propane grill. Under the cottage in the carport you will find a large outdoor table with seating for six. There is a shower head to rinse of the beach sand. You will share special moments creating beautiful family memories, while vacationing at this Summerwind Cottage on beautiful Seabrook Island!

The owners will accept a non-shedding dog 35lbs. and less for Monthly rentals (additional pet fee applies)

*Seabrook Island Property Association (SIPOA) has started charging for all gate passes.

Gate passes are $45/ vehicle. This charge applies if you are staying 1 night – 179 nights. If you are staying more than 179 nights, there is a different charge.
Gate pass total is due 2 weeks prior to your arrival. Payment of $45/gate pass(es) is due at time of your final payment.
Any changes made less than 2 weeks prior to your arrival are non-refundable. If you add a gate pass less than 2 weeks prior to your arrival, a $10 additional fee will apply.

THIS PROPERTY ALLOWS FOR A MAXIMUM OF 3 GATE PASSES TOTAL
Once the car has a gate pass, any licensed driver can drive.

Amenity cards giving you access to the facilities of the Seabrook Island Club are available for purchase. These cards give you access to the Beach Club oceanfront pools (seasonal), Pelican's Nest outdoor restaurant/bar (seasonal), Island House restaurant/bar, golf and tennis. Additional fees are charged for all activities except outdoor pool usage. The Club Amenity Card also allows access to the Lake House facilities (outdoor pool/no fees; indoor pool/fitness center/fees apply).

Cancellation Policy:
If you cancel more than 30 days prior to your scheduled arrival date, you receive your funds back, minus $250. If you cancel within 30 days of your arrival date, you lose your funds. If able to re-book it, you will receive what we rent it for, minus the $250. Feel free to ask any other questions you may have.

For monthly winter rentals the policy is as follows: For cancellation made up to 60 days prior to the scheduled arrival date, the deposit will be refunded less a $250.00 cancellation fee. For cancellations made less than 60 days prior to the scheduled arrival date, all monies are forfeited. If able to rent the contracted dates after a cancellation, Guest will be refunded an amount equal to new rental rate minus the $250 Cancellation Fee. The amount refunded is not to exceed the amount paid by the Guest under the terms of the Rental Agreement.

Quick Weekend Getaway
Stayed for the weekend. House was clean, well stocked, and spacious. Walked to the beach and Seabrook club each day. Saveurs du Monde cafe was great for breakfast and coffee in the AM. Wild life abound around the property…..deer, armadillos, hawks and other birds were seen from the deck.

Very comfy
We visited for a week with family from Germany to attend our youngest daughter's graduation from CofC. With 6 people we had plenty of room, beds great, everything was clean and if not new it was in perfect condition. Only cooking was a bit of a challenge since there was just one medium sized pot, no salad bowl and the BBQ grill was not in good shape (dirty and rusty). However, we had a great time and would certainly book this property again. Thanks for sharing your home with us!

Perfect End for the Year
This was a perfect getaway to end the year. The cottage was perfect for my large family. There was plenty of room for us to stay comfortably. The kitchen was well equipped so we could cook meals without issue. The location was amazing. We love Seabrook Island and the location of the cottage was perfect. It was within walking distance of the beach for sunrises and sunsets. It’s also convenient to Charleston and Beaufort - two of our other favorite places. Thank you for helping us ring in the New Year with an unforgettable vacation.

Lovely home in a great location
We stayed at seabrook for a week with our 3 children (7,5,2). The property was very clean and well organized with places to play, watch tv, do activities, and share family meals. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes/cooking utensils. The location was about 0.5 miles from the nearest beach access and about 1 mile to the beach club. We rode bikes around the whole island and that made it very easy to get around. We would recommend this location and Seabrook in general for a trip with 1-2 families!
