Serenity Cove is a quiet, comfortable home with all the amenities one would expect. While it isn't the most modern property, it is well appointed and everything works well. We brought a crock pot from home, but to our surprise, there was already one in the kitchen. There were ample dishes, cutlery, and cooking utensils to make our stay easy and homey.
The bedrooms rooms are huge! Situated at either end of the house, you have a King and a Queen room, so the house sleeps at least eight adults. Do be aware, both bathrooms are on one end of the house, but it isn't huge, so it didn't present a problem. As someone mentioned in a previous review, there is a step up (about 3-4 inches) into both bathrooms and into the kitchen, so it may not be the most friendly for someone who has mobility challenges.
We enjoyed using the gas grill, and brought wood for the fire pit, but didn't use it. A couple of tips, bring a blanket or two if you come in cooler weather, not because the heat doesn't work, but because the beds have thin bedspreads. I like the weight of a heavier quilt or comforter, so I am glad we thought to bring some. There is a basket of throw blankets in the living room, which was nice! Due to the cooler weather we didn't spend much time on the screened in porch, but it was nice and very spacious. Overall, Serenity Cove provided a great space for a chill family holiday gathering.
