"Took up to an hour for the owner to arrive to give us the key into the home. I called the provided number twice to be hung up on (as I only speak English). The owner was able to bring a younger adult to translate. The home is mostly advertised for its hot tub and sauna. My grandmother had planned to use the king-sized bed downstairs; however, I realized she would hurt herself if she need to use the bathroom at night. The drop-down stairs to the second floor bedroom were in the way of her door....

"It was the perfect place for our family of five to explore the Groningen area and our family's ancestry. The house was spacious, clean, quiet, and located right on a canal. We rented the boat and took it out on the lake one day. The weather was beautiful and we enjoyed grilling and eating outside on one of the many decks surrounded by flowering bushes and plants. We wish we had more time to spend at the house and in the Kropswolde/Groningen area but hope to come back someday!"

The views from the terrace were stunning, and we enjoyed grilling outside on the charcoal grill, The owner was very welcoming and made sure we had everything we needed, We explored nearby bike paths and even visited the beach at Loomeer, which was just a short drive away, A great place to relax and recharge"

"Pros: Very quiet neighboorhood, with little traffic going by. Perfect place to bring a dog, as the entire property is fenced in, and there are nice areas to walk the dog. Cons: No A/C, so in the warmer days it was hard lr impossible to cool down."
