"Good hotel"

"What a find - a hotel in a working convent that used to be a palace! Breakfast nice, dinner excellent. Good choice of wines and beer. Room spotlessly clean, nice size. Grounds beautifully kept. Lovely long walking trails in the woods behind the convent. Plenty of safe parking. Very tranquil, absolutely top class, and at a very fair price. This is the second time I have stayed there, and will do so again. "

"We, family of 4 plus dog, have stayed at this hotel overnight several times over the past 5 years, most recently in July 2024. We love the location, as it is quiet and surrounded by forest with lots of relaxing walking routes nearby, yet not far from the shopping centre in Zweibrücken (which has fast chargers in case you arrived by EV). Rooms are large (over two levels), with access to the garden (very handy if you have a dog that needs to go out during early hours). The food offered in the restaurants is excellent, including the buffet breakfast. We look forward to returning for another stay next summer."

"I have stayed here on many occasions. The food is amazing and the main hotel has a pool and spa with services. Original hotel is Kunz just across the street. I just extended my stay two more nights."

"The staff at this hotel were brilliant and very welcoming. The room was exactly as advertised and the whirlpool was a great novelty for the children. The only negative was breakfast; it was very expensive and had a poor selcction - especially for children. It’s also worth noting that the pool is not available to under 16s. "

"Our stay at this hotel was marred by a very unfriendly employee as well as some misconceptions. The breakfast is twenty Euros per person. While it was adequate, it was worth about 10. For 20, I would expect more as well as the possibility of freshly made eggs. On Monday, the croissant felt like day old bread or purchased from the supermarket pre-made. The morning employee was very kind and nice though!!! The other misconception was about the pool. We picked this hotel based on there being a pool. We did not know that it had to be reserved, it is closed on Sundays, and it cost money to use it. We were there for recuperation, instead we came home as early as possible. The afternoon employee was rude to me, would not fill our water bottles (said it was forbidden) and told me to use the bathroom sink. When asking about the pool she said I should read better and that it isn't her fault if we use an online booking company rather than booking direct. I will not into details about the afternoon employee, but be aware... I was even scolded because I didn't want to keep the heavy key with me going into town. If you are going to the hotel, the rooms are lovely, clean, and comfortable. I would avoid interacting with the afternoon staff if possible. There are no restaurants within walking distance, but there is an easily accessible bus and food can be delivered via Lieferando or other such food delivery apps."
