Property is not wheelchair accessible
Prior to booking we sent a message though the link on the booking page asking specifically if the main level was wheelchair accessible. We received a reply stating that yes it was wheelchair accessible. Based that information we booked the property several weeks in advance. Upon arrival we found the main level, kitchen dinning room, bedroom etc., was on the second level and not wheelchair accessible. One must go up 14 steps on the inside or 16 steps on the outside to enter the main level. It was impossible for us to carry a wheelchair bound adult up those stairs. We tried calling the emergency contact provided but found their was no cell service or wi-fi in that area. We had no option but to make the 5 hour return trip home. During the return trip we were able to contact the emergency contact number and were told the property description stated (in the fine print) stated the only the lower level was wheelchair accessible. The only thing on the lower level was bedroom, game room and laundry room. The main point is we asked specifically about the main level and were told that it was wheelchair accessible and it was not. We thought it was reasonable to request a partial refund since no one stayed there there was no increase in utilities, no cleaning service needed and no service fee applicable, which totaled over 3 or 4 hundred dollars. We asked how to submit our request for refund several times and have not received any information.
