Welcome to Casa Suerte ('Luck'). The location of our three-story home combines the best of both worlds—beach and town. In the heart of Sayulita, with stunning ocean views, Casa Suerte offers an exclusive corner just a minute's walk from great restaurants, a variety of shops, and the colorful town plaza. The beach is a two or three minute stroll from the front door.
Designed by a renowned local architect, Casa Suerte combines light, views, art, and functionality in a delightful way. The home has wonderful ocean views -- and rooftop terrace in particular has simply stunning ocean views.
The street entrance opens into a peaceful garden and cobblestoned area with secure parking. A spiral staircase leads to each of the home's three levels, all beautiful and unique with open floor plans.
Casa Suerte is made up of three levels, but Levels 2 and 3 are the main studio apartments. When you book, you should specify which level you would like.
Level 1 is a small self-contained studio that is best as an add on bedroom to one of the other two units. It has a little shower, sink, microwave, small refrigerator, dishes, air conditioning, fans, and windows for a breeze.
Level 2 has great ocean views and includes a full kitchen with large hand-crafted counters, king bed, comfortable pull out full bed, comfortable chairs and an eating bar. A lovely garden area leads to the bathroom featuring local stonework and artisan-made fixtures. The shower area is private and yet a little open air. (Bugs are not a problem ;) French doors open to a spacious patio equipped with a dining set, comfortable chairs, and ocean views. This level has air conditioning and ceiling fans.
Level 2 is ideal for those who may want to cook "at home" and enjoy ample outdoor 'living' space. The ocean view has some wires but is very nice and open. It's best for two people but three can fit.
Level 3 apartment has great ocean views and includes a kitchenette, king bed, twin bed, full bathroom, deck and private garden patio area. Windows and French doors open on each side creating an airy, beautiful and peaceful environment. On the ocean side, large glass French doors open onto a deck offering wonderful views of the ocean, village, and mountainous coastline. Another set of glass doors open onto a private garden with a table, chairs--and a private stairway off the garden leads to the rooftop patio.
Level 3 includes comfortable chairs for reading and relaxing. The small kitchenette is simple and ideal for those do not plan to cook a lot. It includes a refrigerator, microwave, sink, coffee pot, blender, pots/pans, cutlery, utensils, dishes, and hot plate. A wood armoire houses space for clothing. This level also has air conditioning and ceiling fans. Level 3 is ideal for those whose are very view-oriented, and is the closest unit to the rooftop patio.
The rooftop terrace has a breathtaking 360-degree view of the town, ocean, and surrounding mountains. Equipped with chaise lounges and a comfortable outdoor couch, it is ideal for sunbathing, reading, napping, and watching the sunset. While the Upper Levels 2 and 3 are private, this is a shared level. It is an outdoor communal space and we appreciate people pitching in to keep it tidy.
(To add Level 1 as an additional room, which is off the garden/cobblestone entrance area. is $50. Its dimensions are 18' by 10' and the ceiling is 6"10." )
Every level of the home has incredible views, but the rooftop is a favorite place to watch the sun rise, sip coffee, and listen to the town slowly waken. From our perch, we can watch whales migrate, hear the waves, see if the surf's up, and feel the pulse of Sayulita. In the evening, as the day slows, we drink margaritas, snack on tacos from the local stands, watch children play in the streets, and enjoy the sunset.
At night, you are minutes from Sayulita's vibrant night life where you can enjoy great restaurants and cafes, food stands that open only in the evenings and live music. And, every Monday is Salsa night at Don Pedros on the beach. It can be loudish (music) during the "high season" in the downtown area in the evenings/night. We find that closing windows, doors, and pulling curtains dims the noise -- but it is part of being in the center of town.
We keep our prices very reasonable for the quality and size of our house so that others can enjoy our wonderful location, home, and the fabulous village of Sayulita.
We hope you choose to stay at Casa Suerte (translated from Spanish: the House 'of' Luck). Welcome.
