"Rectory Farm is set in a stunning location, in the middle of beautiful rolling countryside, yet easy to reach from Cambridge (we did a combination of cycling and public transport). Although Rectory Farm does not have breakfast facilities, they offer recommendations nearby. We opted for the Caton Orchard Garden Centre, and loved it. "The Nyton is an older property, and has all the problems that come with that. Our host was very amenable, and the food was A1. Our room was big enough and the bed was very comfortable. The garden is large and there are several animal visitors to watch for. Fine for a stopover or short stay. "

Place is clean what more do you want. I noticed people want everything for a cheap price. Simple rooms with a bathroom. "Great location in the village. 1 small block away from fantastic pub with attached restaurant and outdoor seating with parking for both. One block from river. Another block added from the pub gets you to the convenience/grocery store. Another block along the river gets you to the manor house and gardens. "Comfortable cabins, and a fantastic home cooked breakfast. Yes, the drive is a bit potholed, but the welcome is second to none. I had a home cooked evening meal, which the host will provide for a reasonable cost. It is lovely to be out in the countryside - and I felt totally at home. Unfortunately I experienced a flat tire whilst there (a really old tire went pop) and the host was so kind - he sorted me out with a replacement tyre to keep me on the road for my meetings. "Check in and check out were no problems. Followed the instructions that were sent to email on the day of registration. Location - the center is 10 minutes walk away, paid parking is 3 minutes away 20 pounds per day, free on Sunday. Communication - I used email, the answer was immediate. Of the minuses, do not forget to make a deposit (it is clear why)."

"The entire site is newly built, but that worked in the hotels favour. Its a fair walk in to Cambridge, but that worked for us and there are busses if needed. Great restaurants attached to the hotel."

"Great spot and rooms and well kept. We could hear people walking above our room and the carpet is not conducive for luggage. Staff are incredibly friwndly and helpful. "

"A unique place to stay that really ticked the boxes - I stayed as part of a group and each of us enjoyed the experience, the birds, meerkats, tortoises & reptiles adding to an amazing stay! The bird show (included in price) was good and the staff extremely knowledgeable - the self contained rooms were very clean & comfortable and having a kitchenette with fridge/toaster etc was perfect, the en-suite shower room was large & again very clean - highly recommend a stay here!"

"The Hotel was fine and the people were very helpful. I was disappointed to have to pay £4 each way for the courtesy bus. Clearly it isn't a courtesy bus and I think it is unfair, and misleading not to point our to people booking the hotel that this payment has to be made. Especially as with this fee there were other options. The other warning would be that an Uber take 20-30 minutes to arrive. Not your fault, but would be helpful to remind guests who are booking in to plan ahead for an uber. Otherwise great. David"

Fantastic from arrival to departure

"I phoned the hotel ahead of my arrival with a query re parking at the call was answered quickly and the member of staff was really helpful. On arrival at the hotel the greeting was lovely and made me feel very welcome. My first impressions of the hotel and its surroundings were really good. Then I got to my room and was even more impressed! Large and spacious, really nice decor and it felt homely and welcoming. Clean and well maintained. I never ever sleep well in a hotel but I slept so so well due to the large comfortable bed! Checkout the next day was equally easy and again the staff member was very friendly but professional too. I would highly recommend the hotel and as my son is at university 5 mins away from the hotel I will definitely stay again in the future. Overall a fantastic experience -thank you :-) "
