Savoca, one of the most beautiful villages in Italy, whose name is derived from the plant of the elder (savucu in Sicilian dialect), a shrub that still grows wild in the cracks between houses and which is represented in the medieval coat of arms of the village.

This small town set in the rock of a hill of dual tip, experienced the interest of kings, popes and Archimandrite prelates, in a succession of periods of serious crisis and prosperity. The basalt blocks lying on roads leading between separate small houses, freshly restored with Sicilian tiles on the roofs and windows framed in stone, then following streets in the rock here you’ll find extremely fragmented ruins and old cisterns.

"Language barrier between ourselves and the host nothing a translation app couldn’t help with and she was ever so patient! Apartment was lovely and spacious, not too far of a walk from the beachfront with restaurants. Hidden €1.50 tourist tax per guest per night- but couldn’t go wrong with the pricing overall especially with some complementary breakfast.."

"Serena greeted us upon our arrival. Serena was very kind, and hospitable. Suggested places to grocery shop and a restaurant to dine at. "Lovely location to get the train to and from. Walking distance to a lot of nice bars and restaurants. The host was lovely and very helpful. You can use the washing machine which was helpful for we travelled hand luggage only. Apartment was large and had everything you needed, even a friendly cat that would visit the garden! "First, the communication with the staff was excellent PRIOR to our trip, and once we arrived we were treated like royalty. A great place to stay, a short five-minute walk from Corso Umberto, the Main Street for shopping, and an easy walk to the cable car and everything else. The Community Gardens is right outside the door. And the VIEW!!! We had a Junior Suite with a balcony that overlooked the bay and Mt. Etna. Just fantastic! Thank you, Hotel Villa Paradiso!!!"

"Amazing staff and excellent location to all the shopping and restaurants. Very good breakfast options and a wonderful outdoor courtyard to enjoy morning coffee and breakfast. Can’t say enough about how well we were treated and the restaurant recommendations provided. Will be back to Taormina and will definitely be staying at the Hotel Piccolo Giardino."

"The whole experience was amazing The staff especially Antonella and Virginia were welcoming and attentive Virginia showed us up to our room and we even had a nice surprise in the room The breakfast everyday was excellent , the staff gave us an excellent table facing the sea everyday and were always on hand to help if needed Everyone here is very attentive and courteous and made our whole holiday enjoyable I would recommend this hotel very highly The location is great we could walk into Taormina and reach the centre in 10 minutes "
