Seems all the money went into the lobby. The glamor ended at the elevator. Dark hallways. No cups or glasses in the rooms. Empty soap containers in the shower. Expected more than this. Front desk and valet were exceptionally friendly and helpful

The Desoto was in the best location in town. Everything is walkable and there are many dinning options very close. The concierge was extremely helpful in organizing us tours and was very knowledgeable about the sites to see. The staff were friendly and always willing to help. I will definitely stay here for our next trip to Savannah.

The hotel is centrally located and within walking distance of many museums, restaurants, and other points of interest. The 1540 restaurant in the hotel is one of the best in Savannah!

It is a nice hotel when you walk in, but the rooms are not worth the price you pay for them. You can tell that there's not much attention to details when it comes to cleaning. We had a city view double balcony room. It was a very small room compared to others that I have stayed at. The outlet behind the bedside table was literally hanging out of the wall (I lost an earring so; we had to move it.) Their elevators are past inspection, which honestly surprised me. The view from the balcony, and the staff were the best part of the entire experience. I personally will not be going back. Simply because I can get way more for the money somewhere else and the outlet hanging from the wall.

The hotel is average. Was placed in a room next to elevator, which was quite loud. Attention to detail in rooms was lacking: temperature set at 51 degrees in winter and a piece of equipment was plugged in and laying on the floor ( presumably to freshen room/reduce odor)
