Great Location, But Apartment Needs Major Updates
We recently stayed at this apartment in the historic district of Savannah, and while the location was unbeatable—right next to Forsyth Park and within a 20-minute walk to most attractions—the unit itself left much to be desired. The apartment is in an old converted attic above a cleaners business, which adds some charm but also highlights its age. Unfortunately, the space feels very worn and in need of a significant remodel.
There was a constant hum from the collection of portable and window air conditioners, and the overall condition of the apartment showed a lot of wear, with peeling paint, dusty closets, and creaky floors. The water pressure was also quite low. The beds were comfortable enough, and while the kitchen was small, it was adequate for basic needs. However, the apartment had a distinctly barebones feel, like a place college students might rent on a budget.
Overall, while the location is fantastic, the apartment itself didn’t live up to the charm of the surrounding historic area. It would benefit greatly from some updates and a bit more attention to cleanliness and maintenance.
