"We booked this hotel because it stated that it had an ev charger. It didn’t and it causes a big problem as we arrived low on battery power. We wouldn’t have booked this hotel had we known this. 😡😡😡😡"

"This time the automatic check in was a massive mess. 1 it did not accept my credit card from the booking or the QR code to release the code to the safety gate to enter the hotel parking or my room. 2 it then charged me twice the deposit/incidental fee. "An AMAZING beautiful hotel conveniently located in prime area. The entire staff was POSITIVELY the best!!! I can not say enough good things about the entire staff. "Camille and Max were fabulous hosts at this hotel. Assisted with multiple requests. The hotel is perfectly located in the heart of the village. The restaurant does a beautiful lunch which is not to be missed. Best decision of my trip was to stay here to experience St Emilion. "

"The hotel staff was friendly and our room was clean and spacious enough for a family of 4. The hotel is close to some restaurants, but there is no place to walk nearby the hotel. The breakfast for €8.00 was very basic, no fresh fruit and no eggs but decent coffee. "

"Great choice if you are visiting Paulliac or Saint Julien wineries at Bordeaux. Very close to a few famous ones. The room is spacious and the amenities are nice. Good restaurant as well. However, the only issue is the Accessibility, they have quite a few bumps, stairs if you are using a wheelchair or so."

"We’ve had a wonderful week here. The pool is fantastic especially as temperatures were in the high 30s, thankfully inside the house remains cool. The garden is huge and beautiful with secure fencing allowing our dog to safely explore. Marie is welcoming and friendly, the perfect host. The house is lovely and very well equipped. The location is remote and peaceful but an easy drive to the next village for groceries and 2 bakeries."

Lovely property and development

"Thank you for a lovely stay in the house. The kids enjoyed the sports facilities and the development is peaceful and secure. Spacious garden and house, even for 5 of us and the house could have still been comfortable with more people. Great location, close to shops etc., but still a quiet location surrounded by sunflowers. "

Perfect family holiday

"We had two lovely week holiday at The Chai and cannot fault anything. Anne and her husband are the perfect hosts-friendly, welcoming and happy to provide ideas and advice for places to visit. They were always available but never intrusive. The house had everything we needed for a comfortable stay and was spotlessly clean. We loved the pool (it was an ideal temperature) and the plentiful children's games were a bonus. The garden was perfect for the children to play in too, enclosed and lots of space for them to run around. Have to mention the views and the beautiful sunsets as well! Highly recommend a stay here. "

Week amongst the vines

"We stayed for a week, 2 families (4 afults and 3 children), driving from the UK. A car is essential for exploring the area. We spent days by the pool, visited St Emilion (busy, beutiful, but get there early for easier parking - free roadside as you drive into the village). There isnt any air con, but 3 of the rooms are downstairs, which makes them very cool."
