Lazy Bear Lodge, is a one-of-a-kind, state of the art log home.
Located just 90 minutes north of Atlanta, it is a hop, skip and a jump to enjoy majestic beauty in its entire splendor!
Situated on 4 secluded acres, yet just a stone's throw away from major intersections, shopping and all attractions, Lazy Bear Lodge offers the ultimate in relaxation and privacy, and has something for every age group.
Whether you are traveling with 20+ people, or are just a small intimate group of 4-6 people, the "Lodge" is comfy and cozy. The "Lodge" can accommodate 22 adults and 2 infants (in cribs) without feeling crowded. Though it is more than 5000 square feet, you will find yourself using all parts of the house, because each area has something wonderful to offer.
The home itself has 2 kitchens and dining rooms, 6 bedrooms, 5 1/2 baths, a fireplace, and a newly constructed media room with a 70" flat screen TV, and gorgeous pool table.
There is no end to the amenities this home has.
While away the hours on the 2 covered decks , both with comfortable furniture, and experience the breath-taking scenery.
Looking over the back deck, one can see the brand new 7 person, 52 jetted spa with LED lights, waterfalls, and Bluetooth! Sit and relax after a long day of sightseeing, shopping and touring in nearby Helen, Clarksville and Dahlonega.
The outside property is very special. There is an over sized swing, and rocking chairs that sit by a large stone fire pit. Just enjoy the warmth of the fire on a chilly night.
The piece de resistance is the large private swimming pool, with seats and jets in all 4 corners! There is even a lovely little cabana and changing room for your convenience!
The North Georgia Mountain area is bustling with things to do. Whether you are into wineries, antiques, quaint towns, historic sights, or outdoor activities, we have the perfect pastime for you!

Wonderful Family Getaway!
We enjoyed our time with our children and grandchildren in this spacious home. The pool, hot tub, and multiple game rooms provided hours of fun together. We look forward to planning another trip here!

We thoroughly enjoyed this spacious cabin. It was perfect for our team building event. There was plenty of room for all 19 of us. The game/theater room was so much fun. We loved all the outdoor seating on the patio! It was clean and the owners were very accommodating, Not one single complaint! We will be back in the near future.

Great Place for a Retreat
The lodge was a great place to stay! We held a ladies retreat for our church there, and it had everything we needed! The location was beautiful, and the lodge had plenty of room for us. We were worried about having enough seating, but it was never a concern. The lodge itself was stunning and well maintained. We would stay there again!

Amazing cabin!
We absolutely loved our stay at Lazy Bear Lodge! We brought 22 people in our college ministry and had a blast hanging out in the game room/movie room, the cozy living room and the hot tub. This cabin has everything you possibly need for a big group and LOTS of space for everyone.

The White’s Family Vacation
Lazy Bear Lodge is a vacation location everyone enjoyed. The amenities are exceptional and there is everything provided for an excellent experience. We were in close proximity to everything we wanted to do in Helen and the surrounding area from trout fishing, tubing, zip lining and the roller coaster. It is an easy drive to Brasstown Bald, the highest point in Georgia, You can’t go wrong staying at Lazy Bear Lodge.

What a marvelous family vacation. The house was quality with the very responsive host providing unexpected amenities. Plenty of space for large & small group interaction. Weekend Stay
Lazy Bear is great. The house itself is spacious and well appointed. We had a group of 18 people which included teenagers. More than enough room for everyone to spread out and not feel cramped. The location is perfect, with Helen only a few miles away. We look forward to our next stay.

This home is outstanding and could easily be the main feature of vacation home magazines. The decorator earned an A++, even to the lightswitch covers!! EVERYTHING is available on site as far as entertainment for all ages. Would love to return in the future.

My daughter got married and I had the place for the entire bridal party. We absolutely had a blast staying here and being all together. We have already discussed coming back during the summer so we could just hang out and enjoy the pool. Beautiful place and the owners really made everything perfect for us!!

Perfect home for our family Thanksgiving!
We chose this home for a large family Thanksgiving. We were looking for a place that we could all eat and play together. This home exceeding all our expectations! It is large with lots of space for togetherness but also spaces for smaller groups to gather. Our group included grandparents, parents and children, all who enjoyed the home and grounds. We would highly recommend this house for any families or groups.

Our baseball team came up for a baseball tournament and this property was PERFECT for our group. We had a few parents stay at the house and had the ENTIRE team stay all weekend. Great Thanksgiving trip!
We rented the Lazy Bear lodge for Thanksgiving. We had a group of 19 with ages ranging from 6 to 72 and the home accommodated everyone with room to spare. There was plenty of room for cooking for everyone and places to sit and eat inside and outside. There’s an awesome game room that the kids enjoyed a lot with foosball, air hockey, and pool. During our stay the owner brought a karaoke machine which we thoroughly enjoyed. Both the property manager and owner were very helpful with any questions or concerns that we had and went above and beyond to make sure our stay was enjoyable. Mr Sloane was awesome and even told us about his other home nearby which we will definitely be staying at in the future.

Fall getaway for adults
We had a group of 5 couples that stayed here for a "kid free" Fall weekend. The house was great and it had more things to do than we could possibly do over a weekend. The owners have done a wonderful job thinking of all the items needed for the perfect vacation rental. We plan to rent this home again for a full week with the kids as the location is fantastic and is close to tons of activities. The manager and homeowner were lighting fast in their responses to any questions we had and they made the stay incredibly easy and enjoyable. This is by far the most nicely appointed and stocked rental home that any of us had ever rented - book with confidence and plan to enjoy your stay!

Family Vacation
One of our younger grandchildren said, “This is the best house and best vacation yet.” I just might have to agree. This property was perfect for our 22 family members. Sleeping arrangements were very good, the kitchen worked so well as we prepared and served meals, and the front porch was perfect for visiting while some played in the pool or played hide and seek on the four acres. Our teenagers enjoyed the media room and adults and children alike loved playing shuffleboard, air hockey, badminton, and more in the game room. We went tubing and hiking and then relaxed back in this beautiful home nestled in a quiet neighborhood in the northeast Georgia mountains. We give this a five star recommendation.

Endless surprises!
Lazy Bear is a mountain palace, with room after room of luxury and entertainment opportunities. The kitchen was stock full of anything and everything you need. Entire home was super clean. No detail was missed, down to the makeup remover (that i'd forgotten). The pool was meticulous, though too chilly for us to use it. There are so many nooks and crannies to find privacy if you're with a big group. While only an hour from home, we felt a world away. Robert was a great communicator and the property manager a delight. Truly a dream home.

Wedding Accomodations
My immediate family and I rented the property to stay in for my daughter's wedding. The house was convenient to our location and check in and out was easy. My only regret is that I didn't have more time to spend at the house. I think I'll have to bring the family back when we can stay longer and don't have a wedding. The bedrooms were spacious, there were plenty of sleeping rooms, the kitchen was large and well equipped, and the game room was amazing (I really wanted to play more shuffleboard!). Would love to come back and hang out by the pool. I was stressed enough with my daughter's wedding but as soon as I stepped into the house I started to relax because it was so comfortable and inviting.

Wedding Weekend at Lazy Bear
My family of 20 and I stayed at Lazy Bear for a wedding that was held at Yonah Mountain winery. We arrived on Thursday night, and everything was beyond perfect. The house had so many amenities and extras that we didn’t even need to bring all that we did. There were large TV’s in each room. The kitchen was fully stocked with all the necessary items to include coffee, condiments, and spices, and all of the Kitchen tools you can think of. There were game rooms and sound speakers, and plenty of rooms for all of us to spread out. This house is the perfect place for a large group to sta. There was even 1 room we missed that had a ping pong table and foose-ball table..we’ll have to catch it on our next visit. The other part of our family, who was the actual wedding party stayed at the host’s, other VRBO called Country Farm Estate, #2366040. We were able to visit them on Saturday and saw how wonderful their location was as well. It had two houses that were fully stocked, beautifully decorated, and a pool and hot tub in between them. They had so much space to spread out as well and even ended up staying an extra day because it was so perfect and they couldn’t pass it up. They had out of town guests in and were able to celebrate the bride and groom, and visit as a family in the perfect location. Each of these houses owned and operated by the host are fantastic. I would absolutely stay there again, and I would totally recommend them to anyone looking to host a large party.

Seriously….this place is awesome….
We had a small family reunion here - we had about 13 people staying here and another 8 staying nearby - but this house was the base of operations for whole thing. Our group ranged from multiple kids under 10, 3 teenagers, and the rest adults. Where to start….there are so many great spaces to just hang out - we’d start with breakfast in the great room, move to drinks and lunch around the pool (which can be heated!!!) dinner on the back deck, and then s’mores around the amazing fire pit. A ton of firewood was provided, and I claimed the giant swing each night. I haven’t event mentioned the media room (kids zonked out here each night) and the *multiple* game rooms. I prefer bar shuffleboard, and got my hat handed to me in ping play pong, fooseball, and air hockey (hint - it’s in a hidden room). I’m underselling the pool (slide!!!) and the front porch. Plus the whole house in a super chill neighborhood. Host was responsive - but honestly didn’t need him for much. We cooked all but one of our meals here and moved between the two kitchens (downstairs was reserved for cocktails, beer and wine) and the outdoor grill. Bottom line - I was responsible for picking the house for this weekend - and I came out looking good. Great, great house. Huge. It’s fun.

Excellent property, a few issues.
The house is amazing. The caretakers and the owners are attentive and respond quickly. However, we found the pool in poor condition. Apparently, it was being observed for a leak (which it did appear to have) and had been turned off before our arrival. It was quite littered with debris. Robert and Gary both attempted to get the pool cleaners out, but they never showed. Once we got the pool turned on, the surface debris filtered out, but the trash remained in the bottom. My group refused to let it deter their fun, though. We swam in it anyway. We did have an issue with the tv's. We never were able to play a dvd in the media room. This was very disappointing as we were planning to view Dirty Dancing. (this was an all ladies trip). I was also told that the tv was never gotten to work in one of the bedrooms. I would suggest instructions be made available in order to remedy this. Besides these issues, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and loved the house. The decor was very nice and there were such nice touches throughout.
