Beautiful Sautee Valley Farm with Creek Access, Moutain Views & Fire Pit

Two King masters, two full baths, main living area, kitchen and washer/dryer- all downstairs. One loft complete with 2 bunk beds (4 twins total) and one queen bed with full bath- upstairs.
Located just outside the crowds of Helen, Sautee Valley is full of history and is the perfect place to escape the hustle and bustle. Our farm is nestled on the banks of Sautee Creek and accessed from scenic Lynch Mountain Road. Come and enjoy our large creek side pasture to stretch your legs, have a picnic, or let the dogs run and play.
If you are standing on our back porch, the creek is best accessed at the end of the big pasture to your left! Take in mountain views from the porch swings or rocking chairs...roast marshmallows and tell spooky stories over the outdoor fire pit...explore the antiques and history the Valley has to offer.

The "Farm Cabin" is a unique collaboration of rustic design and modern style. We locally milled all the lumber out of native wood species, and imported heart pine beams featured throughout the home from Charleston, South Carolina that date back to the Civil War. The doors and hardware are reclaimed from a prominent historical home in Athens, Georgia. The lighting is custom crafted by a local artisan. This cabin is built for entertaining! We have a towering stone fireplace, porch swings on both the front and back porches, and a huge fire pit perfect for roasting marshmallows and taking in the Valley's beautiful starry sky.

Many folks know Lynch Mountain and visit to take in the views. It is a special place! The area offers fly fishing, horseback riding, zip-lining, biking, and hiking. Not looking for action? Check out the many local artisan shops and museums nearby. There is truly something for everyone in Sautee Valley.

Perfect getaway
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The house was beautiful and the property was exceptional. The kids enjoyed playing in the creek, fishing, and we all enjoyed being unplugged in such a beautiful setting! Highly recommend.

Beautiful property inside and out
We stayed here for a family event close by and loved it! Now the temperatures were a lot colder than normal, so we lost hot water for one day, but we understood having a well it can happen. We still made the most of the house and had a great time. We enjoyed lots of fires in the beautiful large fireplace inside, and even made some great memories around the large firepit outside. It is a beautiful home, and would definitely stay again.

Lovely getaway in Sautee, near Helen.
The property is tranquil, beautiful, and not quite so secluded that you cannot quickly get something you may need, or some food, etc. Close to Helen, and nestled in a great area for winery, hiking, and just relaxation - the house is a great retreat. We loved the property, my dogs loved running the cut trails around the tall meadow. The creek isn't really "accessible", is probably my only gripe as I was expecting it to be more easily accessed.

This Sautee Valley cabin is spectacular. The cabin is well appointed and they have thought of all the little touches one would want in a mountain get a way. The river made for a great cool place to spend the afternoon. It was secluded but if we needed to go to town to shop or grad dinner their were great options close by. We will be back!!!l

Great Weekend Getaway!
This was the perfect weekend getaway from Atlanta. Two families of 4, plenty of room, loved the outdoor space for games, s’more, biking, etc. the interior is beautiful and very comfortable. My only suggestion is to improve signage from the road. It was hard to find at night. Had a great stay, will book again! Thanks!

We loved everything about this place. We had 5 adults and 5 children for a family get together. The younger people and kids loved the stream and open areas and the older ones loved the porches and very comfortable bedrooms. The cabin has a very rustic style with the comfort of modern conveniences (beautiful showers, efficient kitchen, Wi-Fi) Everyone is asking me already when we can go again.

Family Vacation 2023
We very much enjoyed our stay at the cabin in Sautee. Though we own a chalet in Helen, it was not big enough for the family. But this property was perfect for us! Our grandkids enjoyed the outdoor space, especially the creek and catching crawfish. The only hiccup we had was hot/cold showers the first night. The temperature was set at 140 degrees for the tankless hot water, but when my son changed it to 120 all was well! Plenty of hot water for the 10 of us from on! Thank you for sharing your house with us! Beds were great, loved the gas stove, back porch rockers were a favorite and the list goes on and on. Would definitely recommend!

MUCH more rustic than advertised
I stayed in the house with my husband and two sons (7 and 9). Starting upon arrival, we had unpleasant issues that made our stay not as anticipated. Some were certainly due to the location, on a more remote, woodsy road, but some were with the house itself. We had a roof leak in our bedroom on a stormy day, bugs and animal droppings in several rooms and encountered a large non-venomous snake in the house. Additionally, there was spotty internet service, many light bulbs out and hot water for showers didn’t last more than 3-5 minutes at a time. Sadly we were unable to stay the entire time we’d booked given the circumstances with the house. We were uncomfortable having additional family join us there for the Father’s Day weekend as we’d planned. I reached out to Katie, the owner, with questions as well as concerns and photos of issues. She was friendly and responsive and assured us that our experience wasn’t typical. We received a discounted rate and partial refund for our stay. We liked the layout and beautiful rustic modern style of the house. We appreciated the bonus ice maker and filtered water pitcher. We enjoyed the porches and fields of the property. The creek was accessible but not easy for kids to climb down to fish or wade. The home was close to shopping, restaurants and attractions. We’ve had many wonderful visits to the Helen/Sautee Nacoochee area and recommend it as a travel destination but can not recommend this property in its current condition.

Wonderful, secluded, rustic location
We loved that the property is away from the hustle and bustle of nearby Helen and Dahlonega. With seven acres to roam, people and pets alike have ample room to roam without concern. Unlike so many 'cookie-cutter' cabins, this one is unique with it's rustic beauty. Enjoy all the conveniences of modern technology combined with laid back atmosphere of yesteryear. Seasoned, split firewood is a plus for enjoying both the indoor and outdoor fireplaces.

Perfectly appointed, cozy and spacious getaway--what a view!!
My teens and 10-year-old as well as our pugs enjoyed this cozy mountain valley getaway in January for about a week. We cooked dinners in a couple of nights and enjoyed the well-appointed kitchen. Everyone had plenty of space, the beds were wonderful and the bathrooms were gorgeous. We loved walks along the property and into the small town/stores. The firepit was absolutely wonderful for the last night and we mostly enjoyed the inside fireplace for movie nights. The town of Helen is minutes away, the local winery is wonderful, and the local coffee shop/pottery was just delightful! As much as we loved exploring (Helen, Anna Ruby Falls, Georgia Coaster, hiking), having this beautiful space as a home base made this trip so enjoyable and relaxing. The views from the porch with coffee to start the day and wine to watch the sunset was exactly what I needed as Mom!

This property is excellent!! We celebrated our 30th Wedding anniversary as we got married in Sautee 30 years ago and it couldn't have been more perfect. close to everything but nestled in the woods. Our puppy was very happy walking down the the creek several times a day. the house was equip with everything we needed. Spent a lot of nights in front of the fireplace. This was a five star stay!!!!

While the foliage around the place has matured, the cabin is incredible and in a quiet and outstanding location. If it was for sale, I would buy it for my own. 5 stars and well worth the price. Beautiful!!
