Quick summary: this house is very well-maintained; very well-equipped . Lovely residential neighborhood. Great view over Narrow River in the Pettaquamscutt Lake area. Very nice owner.
This was our second stay at this property. The house is very well-maintained, and feels very spacious. The living area and bedrooms have beautiful views over the Narrow River. There are a number of sitting areas, indoor and out, that are comfortable and have the views.
The kitchen is very well kitted out with high quality appliances and equipment, i.e. pots & pans; dishware; barware; etc. Lots of all kinds of appliances (e.g. blender; Keurig and regular coffee pot, serveware...)
Excellent on-site main floor washer and dryer.
Two bedrooms have very comfortable beds and pillows. Each has good closet space (one walk-in!) and at least one chest of drawers so you can really settle in. Basement accommodations, too.
Nice bathrooms (one with a roomy shower; the other a tub/shower combo -- I love having a real bathtub). Good storage space for your toiletries, etc.
Lots of high quality sheets, towels, beach towels, etc.
HVAC and wifi work very well.
We LOVE the backyard. Aside from the view, it offers both shade and sun at different times of day. When you hit those really hot days, the shade is appreciated. There are also Adirondack chairs overlooking the river, portable beach chairs, dining table and chairs for outside dining.
There is a dock and a place to get into the river for a swim, kayak ride, etc. It is nice to have that place to swim when you don't have the energy to get to the beach (or want to deal with a crowded beach day,) or just want a quick dunk. The area right by the shore can get a bit mucky, so I recommend water shoes, but it is not a large area. The house comes with an assortment of water toys, noodles, etc.
The dock is also a lovely area to hang out in the evening.
The residential area is quite nice. Quiet, but not far from restaurants, town, attractions, beaches, etc. There is a community beach a few houses away. The clubhouse and neighborhood have various events where renters were welcome to attend -- nothing loud or crazy, very family-oriented.
Due diligence: the upstairs bedroom is up a somewhat steep set of stairs. Handrails are on both sides, and my husband and I were fine, but it might have been a challenge to someone with mobility issues. Still, there is a nice first-floor bedroom.
We look forward to a return.
