I would have no reservations on renting this property. The communications were excellent. The property is as listed. Very clean and in a good location to do day trips to Narragansett and Newport. Overall great stay

Back home visit
Excellent rental with all needed amenities We could have used a greater quantity of towels both hand towels and kitchen dish towels. Home is lovely with a beautiful back yard. Location is ideal for beach communities and tourist sites.

If you love rules, this is the place for you.
Property was great but ihe owner was overbearing. Called/txt/emailed me at least 3 times wanting to go over the property rules. THEY were also in a prominently placed 3 ring binder in the kitchen area, in addition they were also all over the hpuse, both inside and out!

Graduation
The perfect house for our graduation weekend plans! James was so helpful and made my first time renting a house with VRBO easier. Plenty of space for me and my daughter and family/friends who joined us throughout our stay. The grill was an awesome convenience for a BBQ the first night of our visit. Kitchen is great and includes lots of supplies. So convenient to get to Newport for a day trip—which we did. Highly recommend for families spending time/visiting students at URI.

Perfect family vacation
This property is in the perfect location. Quiet neighborhood but only minutes away from the beach, fishing, kayaking, etc. James was super helpful with check in and check out and the home is immaculate!

Loved this house!
We stayed here for New Years weekend and had a great time! Everything you need is included and the space was well decorated and lovely! Would definitely stay here again! The hosts were very attentive and answered any questions we had while there very quickly.

Enjoyed our stay and the convenience to Jamestown, Newport, Wickford and Narragansett. Clean home as advertised with comfortable beds. The two recliners in the living room could use replacing but everything else in the home was clean and comfortable.

Lovely Narragansett Home
We loved our week at this Narragansett house. It’s very spacious, seaside decor and all the essentials to make the week perfect. It’s location is very central to beaches and shopping, also just 20 mins from Newport. The beds are all comfortable. The kitchen is very modern and equipped with a gas stove. We loved spending time outside on the back patio. The property owners Amy & James were very responsive and got back quickly to our questions. Would highly recommend this location!

The house was clean and ready for us when we arrived. We found the air conditioning to be. inadequate to cool the upstairs floor in the afternoon and evening of the hot days, but was comfortable otherwise. The house is 15 minutes from Narragansett beach.

Very comfortable, home was lovely!
This rental was so nice, it was spotless and decorated very tastefully, I didn't have to do a thing when we arrived. Beds were extra comfortable and the patio was very nice to relax on. We were close to restaurants and grocery stores, the beach was about 4 miles away which was fine. The only suggestion we have is that the chairs in the living room could use replacement. I want to make it known that James always answered our calls and was always accommodating The yard was well maintained and very pretty! Everything we Needed for a Great Stay
A rare instance where the house is even nicer than the photos suggest. Well maintained, with a beautiful, large, fenced in backyard; large bedrooms with unusually comfortable beds; a kitchen with truly everything you need for cooking, right down to a mandoline(!); and an incredibly responsive owner who called us the day we were to arrive to alert that there was a power outage (and called again when the power had returned). Despite the recent heat waves, the central A/C kept us comfortable upstairs and down the whole time -- never needed the supplementary split unit in the family room. There's a nice little local beach half a mile down the road that's great for swimming and kayaking/canoeing (larger beaches are a 10-15 minute drive), and a Brickley's ice cream about a mile away. Lacks nothing!

Kid Friendly, No Luxury
Comfortable, kid friendly, clean house; furniture and fixtures outdated and unappealing. When on vacation, goal is to enjoy as good as, or more luxurious than home. This property does not meet that objective. Shower upstairs too small, 5’2” 145 lb female barely fit. Bed and bath linens poor quality. Overall, decent house, but not my standards.

Rent a different property
The house is fine but bare bones and the location ok, although it is on the corner of a main road. You hear the noise while sitting in the back, and family room, but the bedrooms were pretty quiet. The kitchen dishes are sparse as is the bathroom. There are approximately 6 large and 6 small dishes, which were chipped, and about the same number of silverware and towels. Don’t forget to bring your own toilet paper, paper towels, laundry detergent and garbage bags, as the home comes with less than 1 roll of toilet paper in each bathroom, a half roll of paper towels and only the garbage bag that is in the garbage can. I was a bit taken back by this as this was the third home we rented since Covid 19 began, and the other 2 were generously stocked. This was an issue as we have been practicing social distancing and trying to avoid stores. It was a very hot week and my husband was working virtually in the upstairs bedroom. We rented the house because it was listed to have AC, but the host, who was creepily remotely controlling the AC from his phone , consistently overrode our setting of 70 degrees, turning it to 78 degrees. Also, only two of the vents upstairs are turned on, making the upstairs very warm. Even after repeatedly communicating with James, the home owner, he continued to control the temperature of the home and make it an uncomfortable temperature. We went to use the grill, but the gas tank said that it was empty and James informed us that it was our responsibility to go to the store and refill his propane tank. We took great care to respect the home, never forgetting to use the numerous coasters and take off our shoes upon entering the home. Unfortunately when we left the home we left 2 dishes in the sink, and didn’t realize we were supposed to strip the bed and wash the towels. James contacted us and screamed at my husband and was very abusive. Of note, is that the downstairs bedroom, which we did not use, had hair under the pillows, making me wonder about the cleaning of the home/ changing of the sheets between guest. Our interactions with this very angry, controlling, cheap host ruined our week away. Stay somewhere else and avoid having to deal with this very difficult home owner

Great Weekend!
We enjoyed our Columbus Day weekend at Amy & James house. It's a beautiful house! Very clean, spacious & nicely decorated. The bedrooms are big especially the master bedroom. Beds are comfortable. The kitchen is well stocked. I liked the idea of the cabinets being labeled. It makes it easier to find things in the kitchen & to put things back where it should be. The backyard is pretty big. My grandkids enjoyed playing outside. The house is in a nice neighborhood. Grocery store, restaurants, drugstore, gas station, Catholic Church are within a 5-15 minute drive. Amy & James are wonderful hosts! Communication was no problem at all. They responded to my emails & text messages in no time. Thank you Amy & James for letting us stay your beautiful house!

Cozy house/nice neighborhood
The highlights include: beautiful furnishing, luxurious bedding and well stocked kitchen. The location was also great for going back and forth to Newport. The downsides were the small shower in the upstairs bathroom and a musty smell which was quite noticeable on each entry that also lingered. The good outweighs the bad.

We had an excellent stay at this lovely and well appointed property. There was an issue with air conditioning which was easily fixed in a timely matter. The location was excellent for enjoying many great places in the area. We were able to launch our kayaks from the neighborhood beach at the lake, which our grandchildren enjoyed immensely.
