"This place is very cute and stayed really warm during a winter storm which was so fun to experience. The heated bathroom floor and fireplace were much appreciated! In the winter this is not a gorgeous location as without the tree leaves you feel planted in the middle of a parking lot; however, the location allowed us the ability to get to shops and restaurants that stayed open during the snow, wind and very cold temperatures. It's great that the Southerner delivers! Allowing pets is another definite plus to the cottage. Our cat hung out in front of the fireplace the whole time we were there. In addition to going to the stores and restaurants, we cross country skied at Pigeon Creek, visited both Holland and Saugutuck Dunes State Park and checked out the snow on Opal Beach. Saugutuck is an awesome little town that offers a lot. We will definitely be back to enjoy it again and will also try to rebook this place although we know it is popular from its reviews and from reading its guest book. "

"Sean and Nancy did an amazing job of welcoming us and making sure all of our needs were met. Our room was well appointed with a cozy fireplace. We enjoyed our evening playing board games in the comfortable library. Breakfast was delicious. Our stay at the Belvedere Inn was a lovely post holiday quiet weekend. "

"The house is quaint with historical charm. By all accounts the beds were comfortable. We stayed in the winter and so can't speak to the outside amenities. We also didn't travel into town, so I can't speak to that either. The only criticism is that the elders in the family had a hard time finding the house as it is back off the road and the numbers are nailed up on a tree. Admittedly, I also had a moment looking for the house, but I was looking during daylight hours so it was easier to find. Everyone enjoyed the house in all of its charm. My six year old was fine, but if you have toddlers, you may need to be on high alert as there are a lot of pieces of art and objects that little hands would love to grab. There are two bedroom on the first floor, that we put the elders in so they didn't have to navigate the stairs. One was a King and the other was either a Queen or a Full bed. Upstairs is a King four-poster and a Full bed in the next room. Would recommend. "

"Planned a trip for my family post-Christmas to just get away, and had a GREAT time. This location is perfect -- it's close enough to walk to ALL the shops and restaurants downtown ( 5 min walk), but far enough that there's not the noise or the street traffic. The house itself was charming and we LOVED the Bose sound system. We appreciated the little touches, like the board games in the closet, well stocked coffee supplies, etc. Will definitely be back! "

"We have stayed in this pristine property many times and can’t wait to return. Rob’s house is exquisite—beautifully decorated in mid century modern decor and still so cozy! You can’t beat the location and will be inspired to take many walks down to the water or through the woods and adjacent neighborhoods. The hot tub is incredible! Love this restorative place. "
