"A great three-room B&B just a few minutes' walk from the centre of the sassi area and from a variety of cafes and restaurants. The hosts were very welcoming and took a pride in maintaining the property to a high standard. The room was clean, light and of an adequate size for our purposes. "The location was good. Shower is extremely SMALL. There is a shared kitchen , however it's the family's kitchen which makes it VERY uncomfortable to use. The right up is very misleading and makes it sound like the kitchen is to be shared with other guests. A seperate fridge and kettle would help. "Almost everything was excellent......except for the fact that it was advertised as providing free parking, and it didn’t. I had to pay for overnight parking in a public garage.....which cost almost $30 for the night. Also, Livingston’s is really a B and B, not a hotel, and, as such, was difficult to find because, even though it’s on the Main Street in Matera, there was only a small sign attached to the building to identify it. "Our room was done very beautifully and artistically and overlooked the Sassi Barisano for a great view. The bathroom is American sized and the room contained a large closet and cute balcony. It sits on a main piazza just a couple minutes to any of the major sites. Mimmo was an excellent host and even if we said the room didn’t need to be cleaned since we were staying only two nights, he had it cleaned anyway. We enjoyed our stay!"

"Staff was very friendly. We arrived a few minutes after the check-in time but the nice gentleman came out to meet us. He pointed out where we could park our car on the street. He came the next morning and prepared a nice breakfast for us. Unfortunately, the air conditioner was turned off for the season and it was a warm and humid night so opening the window was no help. There was no wi-fi or TV."

"View to Matera from the balcony was amazing. The property has no air conditioning and it was 40C/100F while we were there so it was warm. There were two fans and the lower bedroom was cool enough to sleep. Location was great for walking anywhere. Matera is beautiful and amazing, but I would avoid June through August in future."

"The property is in a great location within walking distance to everything in the Sassi. The bed is very comfortable and how cool to shower in a cave! The kitchen is well equipped and stocked with some breakfast items. The host also had a bottle of wine for us to enjoy. I would definitely recommend this rental. "

"Matera was our first stop on our Italy Trip. This property is spacious, well located in the center with spectacular views across the old town. Parking is near by, we paid 25 euros for each 24 hours, so 50 euros total, which was easy walk with case and no steps, which was ideal for us.
