Built in 2005, Casa Sierra features a custom designed home with chef's kitchen, great room with 30 ft ceilings and Guanacaste beams. 4br, 3Ba with office (can convert into 4th bedroom). A covered veranda with ceiling fans spaning the entire back of the house facing the vanishing edge pool and views of the Pacific and primary forest. Greet the mornings with howler monkey's playing in the trees and spend evenings looking at the Milky Way while being serenaded by nature. Totally private residence.
Casa Sierra is located on Cerro Los Gatos, or "Cat Mountain," and within the exclusive Pacific Heights development in Potrero, Guanacaste, Costa Rica. It is a popular destination for hikers and nature enthusiasts due to its stunning views of the Pacific Ocean and surrounding countryside. The hike to the top of the mountain takes approximately 45 minutes to an hour and is of moderate difficulty.

At the summit, visitors are greeted with a castle-like structure that resembles a medieval fortress. The structure is privately owned and is not open to the public. However, the views from the top are still worth the hike, and visitors can take in the panoramic views of the ocean and surrounding mountains.

The mountain is named after the many wildcats, including jaguars and ocelots, that once roamed the area. Although it is now rare to see wildcats in the area, the mountain and surrounding hills are still home to many species of wildlife, including monkeys, birds, and other small mammals.

Overall, Cerro Los Gatos is a unique and beautiful natural landmark that offers visitors a chance to experience Costa Rica's stunning natural beauty and biodiversity.

We are located about 2/3 way up the mountain off the main road. Our property features a parking deck with space for at least 7 cars, security gate, alarm, and cameras.

Our time here was incredible. Both the owner (Mark) and manager (Robert) were very responsive and helpful with ideas for entertainment. The pool was amazing it was big and the highlight of our trip and the property. Property is secluded and private. I would love to bring my family back to this property again.

Beautiful Views & Secluded Property
We thoroughly enjoyed this home during our 8 night stay. The owners and house manager are very friendly and communicative. The house manager personally met us in town to lead us to the home to check in and shared many great recommendations for beaches, restaurants and activities. We loved the pool and views. The internet was great and I was able to take several work Zoom calls. The house is spacious with plenty of room to spread out for our family of 6.The dishwasher and master bedroom bathtub were both broken which was unfortunate. It also would have been nice if the house had more towels so we didn't have to do laundry as often and more basic cooking items like salt and pepper, napkins, cooking spray etc. Overall we loved our stay and would highly recommend this house and house management team. Pura Vida!

Beautiful property. Would be perfect for family or small group. It was just me and my wife and we loved it! Amazing private location, you almost feel secluded from the outside world. 10 min drive to Potrero. Pool was amazing and property was amazing. Enjoy! We did.

Very impressive, with a couple caveats
Five of us spent five nights at this rental property. Very impressive looking house & beautiful views. Very clean & well maintained. The host Mark, and the caretakers Roberto & Maria were cooperative and helpful. A few minor issues, which were not worth bothering Roberto about. The largest problem during those five days was a problem with the pool pump, which Roberto had fixed immediately. There are a few potential renters who might want to take into account situations which did not bother us. First, the road leading up to the house is steep, bumpy, and unpaved. If you go during the wet season, I think a 4WD might be necessary. If you want a “working vacation”, where you would need high-speed, reliable internet on a constant basis, there may be a problem. If you have an extreme fear of “bugs & critters” in the house, there may be a problem. Overall, I would highly recommend this property.
