I booked through expedia 2 weeks before my stay and when i arrived the person at the front desk couldn’t find my reservation or the manager, they suggested i reach out to expedia, which i did. The agents at expedia tried calling and kept getting hung up on, they also tried to email as well and conveniently their system went down. Well, after 2 hours of back and forth i had to pay for another room directly through them for a much higher price. It was a busy day (valentines) so most hotels in the area were booked. Expedia was able to get me a refund for my original booking. I suggest if you must stay there Just book through them directly, the manager at the property claim “it happens all the time, blaming it on expedia” but expedia explained to me that they sent the reservation and the hotel did not confirm it.
