I wasn't expecting a lot before staying at Ahar, as I wasn't paying a lot, and I knew it isn't in the city centre of Sarajevo. However, I was still disappointed. The hotel's about 15 minutes' drive from the city centre, and if you don't have a car, you would have to take the tram which takes about 40 minutes (but the hotel staff told us it's 20 minutes, which is why we took the tram once). It's located in the middle of nowhere, and there are construction sites around and the train passes through right next to the hotel every night a few times, which makes it quite noisy. The 'breakfast' included in the hotel consists of a few pieces of ham, cheese, some dry bread rolls, a couple of cheese options, butter and honey. Not kidding, that's it. So disappointing! I would recommend staying in a downtown hotel rather than at Ahar. We had to pay for parking in the city centre as the tram was really not so convenient. Though it's quite cheap (around 1 euro an hour), you could easily avoid this if you stay centrally.
