My stay was a birthday gift I got from a client with whom I've worked for several years. We have grown to share many personal stories, so my client knew I was having trouble sleeping because of noise in my area.
So the stay was a gift for me so I could have a better night sleep.
However, there was constant noise coming from other rooms. I fell asleep only after 00:30, then I woke up at 4:30 a.m. to the sound of doors being constantly slammed.
My alarm was set to 7:30 a.m., so I spent 3 hours trying to get some rest, unsuccessfully. I didn't call the reception to complain because I didn't want to go through the trouble of packing all my belongings and changing rooms!
In the morning, I was feeling terrible and exhausted.
At check-out, I explained my situation at the reception desk, but the two receptionists who were there, at a time when the reception was empty with no other guests, they told me there was nothing they could do.
They just gave me the hotel's card and said I should call later.
I asked if I could speak to the manager, but they said THERE WAS NO MANAGER ON SATURDAYS!
Allegedly, the hotel has no manager on weekends!
This is unimaginable!
I was courteous all the time, and just tried to speak to someone responsible for the hotel and for the guests' well-being, but there was just no one to help me.
So, I had a bad experience, which was supposed to be my birthday present, and the staff aren't willing to listen.
