"We had a great stay at the Pool House. Easy to find with Google Maps, our arrival was painless. Carlos, and his father, were welcoming and helpful. The house is comfortable and had all we needed. The pool was great. Ten minute walk into the local village: supermarket, pharmacy, bars. Twenty minute walk to the Atlantic Ocean. Great place from which to explore northern Portugal. We enjoyed our time there. Easily recommended."

"Très belle maison et spacieuse pour 12 personnes. Piscine très agréable, extérieur et et espaces jeux très favorables pour passer de bons moments de détente. Nous avons pu profiter enfants comme adultes de tous ces espaces avec plaisir. Emplacement idéal pour visiter les principales villes du Nord : Viana do Castelo, Porto, Braga, Guimarães et o Gérês. The house is fantastic, the area was beautiful, super quiet yet easy to get to all the local attractions. Truth is we just wanted somewhere to relax and it was ideal. "My wife, our two young boys and I, had the most fabulous stay at Casa Sao Joao. We rented the left wing apartment of the house, overlooking the pool. Our rooms were spacious and comfortable, with ice cold a/c for the hot days, of which there were many! The manor house is set in the most sumptuous grounds, with lovely shady vine tunnels surrounding the pool, leading to deeper depths of the garden and many flowers in bloom. The pool was a delight.
