“Cave Agapi” is a genuine old cave house (ypóskafo, in greek language), situated at the entrance of famous scenic Oia village, at Perivolas area, overlooking the magnificent blue colors of the Aegean sea, the whites of the traditional Cycladic architecture and the black colors of the unique volcanic earth of Santorini.
The Cave was built in 1890 on the steep slope of the northern edge of the caldera that forms the island of Santorini, at a height of between 70 and 100 m (230 and 330 feet) above sea level, offering stunning views to the caldera and its world known romantic sunset.
“Cave Agapi” is a 77 m2 cave house that has been renovated over the years and fully renovated in 2020 but has kept the Cycladic architecture intact, respecting the traditional way that cave houses were built at that time but also adding a fresh touch of modern decoration, blending the traditional with the contemporary. The cave has two entrances, one of them leads to the main house with a large living room followed by a spacious bedroom with its wardrobe, a small but fully equipped kitchen, a small bathroom and another surprise bedroom that kids (or grown ups) will love as it’s actually a cave. The other entrance leads to a separate bedroom with its own small bathroom. The cave also has a lovely courtyard with an outdoor jacuzzi and sunbeds to enjoy the tranquil moments of your vacation and relax watching the infinite seaview.
The center of Oia village, restaurants, cafes, supermarkets are within few minutes walking distance. The main road that connects Oia village with the rest of the island, as well as the central bus lane and public parking area are within 2 min walking distance. The airport is a 20 min car distance and the port is a 30 min car distance.
We will be delighted to welcome you to “Cave Agapi” and offer you our best services, so as to make your stay the most enjoyable and create a memorable vacation.
Looking forward to welcome you
