apartment not clean, plus other problems
Arrived after a long flight expecting to be shown straight to our air conditioned apartment. Unfortunately the number of the apartment we expected to be directed to was incorrect, after some difficulties with translation , thanks to the security staff on duty we were re directed further down the block to a different apartment. Security / reception at the new block were not able to confirm our booking but luckily a cleaner had the good sense to use google translate to advise us our apartment was not ready for us. Several workmen were present , fixing the plumbing, we were told we could lock our suitcases in one of the bedrooms and come back “ later” when the problem would be fixed. On returning, the workmen were gone. There was no safe in the apartment despite having confirmed in writing that there would be. The air conditioning consisted of one portable unit that blew cool air but also blew hot air from the back. This unit should have been plumbed in but we had to open the patio door to feed the hot air out.... so actually this unit did not cool the room. We booked this apartment as the description included air conditioning, this unit did not condition the air making the apartment unbearably hot both day and night. We complained via messenger and were supplied with another unit, so in a 2 bedroom, one living room apartment we had one air conditioner, not enough to make any difference to the temperature, also supplied a small fan which did nothing except move the hot air.
