The hotel is slightly older, but the rooms have been updated. Hotel staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel is located in Providencia, only a 15 minute walk from the Costanera Center. There are several restaurants nearby but not much to do otherwise in the immediate vicinity. The location was good, but I would likely stay closer to Costanera Center for my next stay. Overall a good choice at the price point.

This quaint hotel was very nice. I was initially in a smaller room, which was nice and they upgraded me to a larger room with a patio. It was quiet, relaxing and very comfortable. The service was beyond excellent. The staff was very accommodating and courteous. The breakfast was the perfect mix of fresh eggs, fruit, bread, coffee and juices. The location was great in that I could walk to the subway, buses, restaurants, an shopping. The neighborhood was very safe as well. The value for the price is tremendous. I would definitely stay here again!

An Art Deco Gem!
What an absolute perfect little hotel in which to stay a week. Christina the manager and partner is a delightful host and full of tips for visiting Santiago. The provided breakfast is ample with sliced fruit, breads, yogurt, egg cooked to your liking and a dish of cheese and meat slices. Oh and of course coffee, tea and a fruit juice. Located 3-4 four blocks from metro as well as a mile from down town Santiago it is easy walking. A variety of restaurants and small step in places to eat. Being originally an Art Deco designed home it continues to retain the beauty of the 1920/30's. Will I return? Absolutely for it a gem for a single or couple.

Pleasant hotel close to shops, and restaurants
We spent two nights here. The staff were welcoming,and helpful, the room was small but comfortable and breakfast was varied and generous. Shops, bars, restaurants and the Metro were a ten minute walk away. We enjoyed our stay at this hotel.

Not a hotel!!
The staff are helpful and the building is a large, funky old house which could almost be a museum or a movie set but i dont know how they call this a hotel. It would be better described as a student hostel. Booked it as it had a favorable Expedia rating but that was a mistake! Moreover, the plumbing doesn't work, with no running hot water in my room. Haven't had to take cold showers in years! Booked for two nights but found somewhere else to stay after only one night.

Quiet little hotel in Providencia
This is a small, charming, b&b in downtown Santiago. It's quiet, clean, and the staff is very helpful. The free breakfast was delicious. Needs some upgrades on the room floors, maybe some fresh paint, and parking availability.

A Real Find in Providencia - VALUE
Hotel Don Santiago is what I have been looking for in Providencia - quiet, clean, comfortable, free WiFi, nice people, and not overpriced for things I don't need or want when I'm looking for a place to stay for a day or 2 on business (eg I have no interest in paying for a gymn or a pool or fancy dining room or restaurant - all those things are available in Providencia outside of a hotel). Hotel Don Santiago is amazingly quiet (unlike the hotels on the main streets) and the rooms are small but very clean and comfortable. You can sit in the living room or front patio without enduring the traffic noise of Providencia. The hotel staff is friendly and helpful. The included breakfast is very simple - no 4 Points or Park Plaza buffet spread, but OK to start the day. There is a Starbucks around the corner and it is a quick walk to Pedro de Valdivia, Ricardo Lyon, etc. If you are a person who wants a lot of space in your room and a sense of luxury - this is not your place. But if you want value and quiet and an amazing touch (towel origami - your towel is waiting for you in the form of a swan on your bed), this is a real find.

Hotel Don Santiago is a charming bed and breakfast with a variety of rooms each offering something different and special. I stayed in the largest one with small patio. The bed was very comfortable. Shower had plenty of hot water and good water pressure. Internet worked well too. And breakfast started early and ended mid-morning which was perfect for early or late risers.

Nice bed and breakfast like hotel in Providencia.
Charming hotel located on a quiet street in Providencia. Walkable to many good restaurants and the bustle of the city. Rooms were very clean and staff was accomodating though we did not speak Spanish.

My kind of place - faded Art Deco + terrific staff
Central location, four short blocks to Metro. Spent 2 nights in a "superior double" and 2 nights in a "standard double" and loved the former with its balcony. Some of the desk staff spoke good English and those who didn't still tried hard to help us.
