We keep coming back here. Beautiful, and beautifully restored, old Victorian home. Check out the book in the parlor that recounts its history.
It’s perfectly situated to serve as a home base for a wine tasting trip. We also stayed here when we attended the Cotati Accordion Festival.
Larry and Pam are the perfect hosts. When we asked for a dinner recommendation, they made reservations and gave us printed directions to the restaurant.
During this last recent visit, they hosted a grape stomp (inspired by the “I Love Lucy” episode); ‘twas a blast!
But the best part is breakfast. Larry is an over-the-top foodie. Our first breakfast started with a home baked, white chocolate/black cherry, still warm scone. That was followed by a baked, spiced pear (home grown by the way, like many other ingredients), topped off with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Yes, breakfast with a dessert, before the main course even!
During our last breakfast, Pam apologized that we were getting the same thing twice. She brought out Larry’s two-egg soufflé, which confused us, because we hadn’t had that for breakfast . . . during that trip. Turns out, they track what they’ve served their guests during past visits, so they never have the same thing twice. Truth be told, we’d be happy with that every breakfast.
We’ll be back!
PS - If you have an electric car, they have two charging stations.
